Nota (CEO Chae Myung-soo) , a company specializing in AI lightweighting and optimization technology, announced on the 30th that it has received preliminary approval from the Korea Exchange for a KOSDAQ listing. This approval comes approximately two months after the company applied for preliminary review, and following its "A-A" rating in a technology assessment last December, the listing process is expected to begin in earnest. Nota is currently pursuing an IPO, targeting a listing in the second half of 2025, with Mirae Asset Securities as the lead underwriter.
In a market environment where IPO screening standards have been tightened and preliminary screening approval rates have declined, Nota's swift approval is seen as a testament to both its technological prowess and business viability. Analysts say that among technology-based startups, Nota's ability to secure a tangible commercialization track record and revenue structure has led to a positive evaluation.
Nota supports the development and deployment of lightweight AI models suitable for edge device environments through its proprietary AI optimization platform, NetsPresso®. This technology has proven its commercial viability through collaborations with global AI semiconductor companies such as NVIDIA, Samsung Electronics, Arm, Qualcomm, Sony, and Renesas.
Furthermore, the company has recently expanded its demonstration projects in the fields of industrial safety, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), and screening control, based on its "Nota Vision Agent (NVA)," a video control solution utilizing Vision Language Model (VLM) technology. In April, the company signed a supply contract with the Dubai Transport Authority in the UAE, becoming the first Korean company to deliver a generative AI solution to a Middle Eastern government agency.
“Passing the preliminary screening in just two months is an exceptional achievement amidst the strengthening of technology-specific listing screening criteria,” said Chae Myeong-su, CEO of Nota. “With this IPO as an opportunity, we will lead global technology standards in the fields of AI lightweighting and optimization, and accelerate the transition to AI in various industries.”
