Apartment life support platform Apartment Eye (CEO Choi Byeong-in) announced on the 31st that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Bundang Police Station (Chief Jeong Jin-gwan) to create a safe community and apartment environment.
This agreement aims to jointly promote a public service campaign to prevent cybercrime and everyday crimes targeting apartment complex residents and to raise their safety awareness. Under the agreement, Bundang Police Station will provide information and content related to digital crime prevention, while Apartment Eye will deliver this information to residents through its app.
Following the agreement, Apartment Eye is launching its first campaign, the "Smishing Crime Prevention Campaign." The app displays a warning message stating, "Do not click on texts from unknown sources," and provides guidance on various smishing cases and practical prevention tips. With the recent increase in smishing attempts related to "People's Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons," this campaign aims to proactively prevent damage to residents.
Kim Eun-ji, deputy manager of Apartment Eye, said, “Amid concerns about the spread of smishing targeting consumer coupons, we plan to actively share crime prevention information in cooperation with Bundang Police Station through this agreement,” adding, “We plan to continue various collaborations to create a safe environment in apartment complexes in the future.”
The business agreement ceremony was held at Bundang Police Station, and 12 officials from both organizations, including Apartment Eye CEO Lee Won-jae and Chief Jeong Jin-gwan, attended.
Meanwhile, Apartment i is an apartment-specific platform that provides services essential to apartment living, such as management fee payments, vehicle registration, resident voting, community management, and fire department unit inspections, in over 33,000 complexes nationwide. The platform continues to expand its digital-based lifestyle convenience features, including the recent introduction of electronic billing systems to replace paper bills.
