Galloping Co., Ltd. (CEO Son Kyung), an AI-based soccer performance measurement solution company, announced on the 31st that it will join hands with the Seoul Metropolitan University Soccer Association (SUFA) to establish a scientific training foundation for university soccer.
Galloping signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Seoul Area University Football Club Association (SUFA) in Seoul last July, and agreed to jointly promote a system to analyze the performance and support the growth of university football players using AI technology.
Galloping is a soccer-specialized data solution company that measures and analyzes individual player skills, match performance, and training results based on artificial intelligence technology.
Featuring AI measurement, analysis, and personalized exercise video recommendations, the service is currently being used widely by clubs ranging from youth to amateur and professional teams, and has signed usage agreements with over 70 soccer teams in just three months since its launch.
SUFA is a university soccer league federation comprised of approximately 50 soccer clubs from major universities in Seoul. It independently plans and operates hundreds of league matches annually, leading the university sports ecosystem. Beyond simple friendly matches, SUFA has garnered attention for its student-led league system and autonomous operation. Recently, the organization has also been focusing on league video content and social media branding.
Through this agreement, the two parties plan to sequentially pursue collaboration, including ▲ applying AI technology analysis to soccer teams affiliated with SUFA, ▲ providing customized feedback to participating players, ▲ utilizing data to manage soccer team players, ▲ jointly producing content using AI analysis results, and ▲ developing soccer data education programs for college students.
A Galloping official stated, “If college soccer players can analyze their play numerically and receive feedback, their training efficiency and potential for growth will greatly increase,” and added, “We will work with SUFA to create practical application cases of technology and contribute to college sports culture.”
SUFA also stated, “In this new trend of technology and sports converging, this agreement will go beyond simply providing data and become an opportunity to change the training methods of college soccer players.”
