Game developer SYLO (Co-CEOs Kim Seon-haeng and Oh Min-hwan) announced on the 31st that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Microsoft Korea to pursue innovation based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The signing ceremony took place at Microsoft Korea's headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and was attended by key representatives from both companies.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to explore ways to effectively apply AI technology across game development and services, and establish a cloud-based collaboration model.
SYLO has independently developed a "vertical AI" solution utilizing cutting-edge AI technologies, including image generation, and has applied it to game content production. Building on this foundation, SYLO is pursuing a strategy to increase the productivity of its game products and application services and expand technology-focused industry partnerships.
With this agreement, SYLO plans to leverage Microsoft's Azure-based cloud and AI technologies to improve game development efficiency and strengthen its global market competitiveness. Going forward, SYLO is also considering expanding its service offerings and diversifying its business model, leveraging its reliable AI infrastructure.
SYLO CEO Kim Seon-haeng said, “We are delighted to be collaborating with Microsoft, a global leader in AI technology. We will explore cross-industry connections beyond the gaming industry, centered on the vertical AI we’ve built with our own technology.”
Co-CEO Oh Min-hwan said, “Vertical AI has proven its high productivity and creativity in the actual game development process,” and “This collaboration will be the first step toward realizing a future AI-based gaming experience.”
Min-Joo Hong, Head of Microsoft Korea's Gaming and Enterprise Global Business Unit, said, "Through this agreement with SYLO, we will actively support AI technology to lead to various opportunities within the gaming industry."
