Crit Ventures invests 1 billion won in Newbility.

Crit Ventures (CEO Song Jae-jun) announced on the 1st that it has invested 1 billion won in Newbility, a self-driving outdoor mobile robot solution company.

Newbility is a robot service (RaaS, Robot as a Service) specialized company that has developed and commercialized everything from hardware to software and platforms, including the autonomous delivery robot 'Neubie', the robot integrated management platform 'NeubieGo', and the ordering app 'NeubieOrder'.

The company has conducted numerous proof-of-concept (PoC) trials in the domestic outdoor mobile robot sector and is known to have secured software technology that enables stable autonomous driving without the need for expensive lidar or GPS inertial navigation systems (GINS). Furthermore, it can operate without a separate precision map, significantly reducing setup time and enhancing cost efficiency.

Newbility currently operates a formal delivery service with Yogiyo and is planning demonstrations with various companies, including Barogo and Rakuten. It is also expanding into the security market by supplying security and patrol robots through Lotte Innovate. Overseas, it is expanding its demonstrations through collaborations with companies like NEOM City in Saudi Arabia and South Florida Security Group in the United States.

Based on this investment, Neubility plans to accelerate the development of "Neubility Sense," an integrated technology that can apply camera-based autonomous driving technology to various robot platforms. Through this, Neubility aims to commercialize a robot solution capable of safe driving in complex urban environments and hazardous areas, expanding its application to areas such as patrol, security, and firefighting. Furthermore, Neubility plans to accelerate the distribution of this solution by licensing the technology.

A global market expansion strategy is also underway. Newbility plans to target the Middle East, North America, and Japan as key markets, expanding its market presence through local demonstrations and partnerships.

“Newbility is a company with both technological prowess and operational experience in the autonomous robot field,” said Yong-Muk Lim, team leader at Crit Ventures. “We expect it to secure competitiveness in the global market based on its proven data-driven service model.”
