Metanet announced on the 1st that it has officially launched a new corporation, ‘Rockplace’, which is a strategic integration of its affiliates, Rockplace, Utimost INS, and Northstar Consulting.
Launched through this integration, Rockplace will establish itself as a digital transformation specialist with annual sales exceeding KRW 150 billion and over 300 employees. The merged entity will pursue a Managed Service Provider (MSP) model, combining the technologies and capabilities of each company to provide an integrated approach to the entire digital transformation process, from digital infrastructure construction and data analysis to process automation, AI-based operations, and customer experience platform implementation.
The integrated LockPlace was designed by combining the existing LockPlace, which has open source-based platform technology, with the technology of UtimostINS, which has IT infrastructure construction capabilities, and Northstar Consulting, which specializes in customer data-based marketing automation and API integration operations.
The company plans to establish a collaborative system among experts in various technical fields through integration, strengthening team composition and operational capabilities optimized for each project. Based on this, the company aims to simultaneously secure both order competitiveness and project execution capabilities.
The newly launched Rockplace is also actively expanding industry-tailored artificial intelligence (Applied AI). Key services include AI supercomputing-based infrastructure design, real-time data pipeline construction, predictive operational architecture (AIOps), an AI customer experience platform linked to global partners, application modernization, and business process intelligence.
This integration is expected to go beyond a simple organizational merger and mark a turning point for Metanet, enabling it to build its own technology assets and develop proprietary solutions tailored to industry needs. The integration aims to consolidate core competencies, including cloud infrastructure, open source technology, data analytics, and customer experience design, into a single system, strengthening Metanet's technology-driven competitiveness.
“This merger is a strategic decision that brings together the core technologies of each affiliate into a single execution organization,” said Hyun-Deok Ahn, CEO of Rockplace. “We will continue to deliver differentiated, technology-driven value to our customers and expand our internal solution development capabilities.”
