Softfreak Completes Supply of API Management Solution for Next-Generation Automotive Management Information System

Softfreak Co., Ltd. (CEO Dong-cheol Kim), an API security specialist, announced on the 4th that it has supplied its API management and linkage solution, ‘F-APIm,’ to the ‘Next-Generation Automobile Management Information System’ construction project promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and has completed the system construction.

The "Next-Generation Automobile Management Information System" is a large-scale digital transformation project led by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority. It was implemented over three years, with a budget of approximately 30 billion won and a workforce of approximately 100 professionals. This project integrated automobile complaint services, previously distributed across "Automobile 365" and the "National Portal," into "Automobile 365" and transitioned to a cloud-based system, significantly improving service stability and user convenience.

"Papim," provided by Softfreak, is an open API-based API management and integration solution that minimizes internal system exposure while supporting stable and efficient integration with external organizations. Its integrated management capabilities, considering the entire API lifecycle, and its support for network separation environments help meet the security requirements of various public institutions.

In this project, Softfreak successfully implemented API integrations with approximately 150 public and private organizations, including the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute, the National Police Agency, the Korea Insurance Development Institute, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Government24, the Integrated Local Tax System, provincial and municipal governments nationwide, and Hyundai and Kia Motors. By applying over 2,000 integration methods, including data, files, and standard APIs, Softfreak established a stable foundation for public service operations.

Kim Dong-cheol, CEO of Softfreak, said, “The most important thing in building a public IT system is stability and convenience that citizens can feel,” and added, “Through this project, we have proven our technological prowess to reliably process large-scale transactions and high-frequency API requests.”

Based on this implementation case, Softfreak is expanding its references to the public, financial, and industrial sectors, and plans to strengthen its competitiveness in the domestic API security and integrated management market based on its API governance platform.
