Asan Nanum Foundation (Chairman Eom Yun-mi) announced on the 4th that it will be recruiting startups for the second half of the year from August 4th to September 1st for the startup support incubator 'MARU'.

Located on the entrepreneurship street in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul, Maru is a hub for the startup ecosystem, home to approximately 30 startups, domestic and international venture capital firms, accelerators, and startup support organizations. Startups selected through this recruitment process will reside in Maru180 and Maru360 for up to one year and six months, starting in November, providing office space and various growth support programs.

Tenant companies can utilize team-specific office space, conference rooms, lounges, shower rooms, nap rooms, and other auxiliary facilities. Event halls, studios, and seminar rooms are provided free of charge. Kids' Zones are available at a discounted rate. Office furniture is also provided, with minimal space costs.

Startups residing at Maru can access free or discounted services in areas such as development, recruitment, PR, and welfare through "Maru Benefit," a partnership benefit worth 1.4 billion won annually. Starting this year, with the selection of Maru as a member of the NVIDIA Inception VC Alliance, support for overseas expansion through the company's global network will also be expanded. Furthermore, Maru residents and alumni will receive "Membership Startup" benefits, which grant access to the Silicon Valley hub "MaruSF."

In addition, various support programs are offered, including the "Maru Connect" mentoring program, the "Maru IR Matching" program for attracting investment, and the "Asan Leadership Coaching" program for entrepreneurs. A community program based on a "pay-it-forward" culture is also in operation, fostering exchanges among resident companies.

Eligible applicants are domestic startups established within the past five years and with 3-12 employees. Companies in the gambling and entertainment industries are excluded. Venture business certification will be given preference. Applications are accepted through Maru's official website until September 1st. Following a document and interview screening, the list of companies selected will be announced at the end of September. Move-in will begin on November 3rd.

Cheon Seong-woo, head of the Asan Nanum Foundation Startup Team, said, “Maru is a platform that supports the challenges and growth of startups in various ways at the center of the startup ecosystem,” and added, “I hope that many startups will unfold their growth potential together with Maru.”
