Select Star Selected as "Independent AI Foundation Model"

AI data specialist startup SelectStar (CEO Kim Se-yeop) has been selected as the final recipient of support for the 'Independent AI Foundation Model' development project hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

SelectStar participated as a consortium led by SK Telecom, and completed the AI Avengers together with leading companies in the AI model, data, semiconductor, and service fields such as Krafton, Forty2Dot, Rebellion, and Liner, as well as the Seoul National University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).

Within the consortium, SelectStar will oversee data management, including building red teaming data for model stability verification and building high-quality training data. Potential model vulnerabilities will be pre-verified based on Korea's first LLM reliability verification solution, "Datumo Eval," and its own safety assessment data. Furthermore, SelectStar will provide a safety verification process that combines its red teaming expertise, honed through its experience operating Korea's first "Generative AI Red Team Challenge" and the MWC25 "Global AI Red Team Challenge."

SelectStar is an AI data startup specializing in providing full-cycle data solutions, from data design and construction in the pre-AI development stage to data construction for evaluation, LLM reliability verification, and red teaming design. It has over 300 domestic and international clients.

Kim Se-yeop, CEO of SelectStar, said, “SelectStar’s high-quality data construction capabilities and reliability verification capabilities will play a crucial role in the development of the national AI model,” and added, “As a national data specialist company, we will further solidify the completeness and reliability of the national AI foundation model.”
