Softberry selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' "Scale-up TIPS R&D" program.

Jeju Free International City Development Center (Acting Chairman Kwak Jin-gyu, hereinafter JDC) announced that Softberry Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Yong-hee) , a company located in Jeju Innovation Growth Center Route 330, was finally selected for the ‘Scale-up TIPS R&D’ technology startup support program hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

Softberry Co., Ltd., which moved into the Jeju Innovation Growth Center in 2019, is operating the electric vehicle platform 'EV Infra' and is expected to further strengthen various functions such as providing charging station information, easy payment, community, and used car trading through a large-scale service reorganization in August.

In this R&D project, Softberry plans to build an AI-based integrated platform encompassing the entire process of electric vehicle diagnosis, charging, trading, and asset valuation, with the theme of "Development of a trading platform and residual value prediction model for the distribution of electric vehicles and used batteries."

Park Yong-hee, CEO of Softberry, said, “Through this scale-up tip, we will realize an AI-centered electric vehicle lifestyle platform that connects charging, diagnosis, transaction, and value assessment,” and “We will establish ourselves as a data company leading the used electric vehicle and used battery market.”

A JDC official stated, “We are providing various support services to help Route330 technology startups like Softberry grow, including prototype development, management/growth consulting, and collaborative projects between companies in the Jeju Innovation Growth Center.” He added, “We will continue to discover and nurture technology companies to revitalize the local economy and create jobs.”
