Audio live broadcast "Spoon" successfully held a "Voice Blind Date" event at Hongdae's Sangsang Madang, with model Lee Si-an hosting the opening.

Fueled by the popularity of the May University Festival, the event expanded to Hongdae and was a huge success for two days.

The participation of Lee Si-an and creator Pogumi from 'Solo Hell 4' has become a hot topic.

Spoon, an audio live content platform operated by global content platform company Spoon Labs (CEO Choi Hyuk-jae), announced on the 4th that it successfully completed the 'Voice Blind Date' event held at KT&G Sangsang Madang in Hongdae to increase awareness of content targeting Generation Z.

The event, which took place over two days from August 1st to 2nd, involved participants wearing blindfolds and talking for about 30 minutes. The rankings were determined by comprehensively evaluating the participants' participation in the mission and their heart rates at the moment they saw each other's faces after the blind date.

The couples with the highest scores were awarded two Korean Air tickets, two Chosun Hotel meal vouchers, and two Lotte World admission tickets. All participants received a department store gift certificate worth 50,000 won. A photo booth event was also held for visitors, with prizes including tumblers, hand mirrors, hand fans, and department store gift certificates.

Especially on the first day of the event, model Lee Si-an, who appeared on "Solo Hell 4" and is the model for Spoon's "Don't Listen, Just Play" campaign, visited and participated in the opening for about an hour. Then, from 8 PM, popular creators including Pogumi participated in voice matchmaking, further livening up the atmosphere.

This event reimagined Spoon's popular live stream, "Voice Dating," offline, allowing participants to experience the interactive play culture of a multi-party call. On-site viewers and listeners participated in the couple matching process in real time, sending missions and questions via the Spoon app's live chat window.

Last May, Spoon hosted offline voice matchmaking events at major universities in Seoul, including Korea University, Hanyang University, and Yonsei University, and received a huge response. Positive feedback emerged, citing the offline events as a way to experience the fun of Spoon content, as well as the viral marketing efforts through social media.

Spoon Brand Marketing Team Lead Kim Hwa-jeong said, “We want to create offline touchpoints so that we can showcase the appeal of audio content to more people,” and “As Korea’s only audio-only streaming platform, we plan to continuously discover unique fun that only audio can provide.”

Meanwhile, Spoon is a global audio content platform featuring a live audio service and podcast-style casting features that allow DJs and listeners to communicate in real time. Available in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and other countries, Spoon has amassed over 30 million cumulative downloads globally.
