Snaptag (CEO Min Kyung-woong), a company specializing in invisible watermark technology, announced on the 5th that it has signed a business agreement (MOU) for strategic cooperation and a distribution contract in Japan with global software distribution company Raumsoft (CEO Cheon Byeong-gap).
Under this agreement, Raumsoft has secured exclusive distribution rights for SnapTag's invisible watermark solution in Japan, and the two companies plan to pursue domestic partnership agreements in the future to expand the scope of domestic distribution cooperation.
SnapTag is a leader in the domestic market based on its proprietary invisible watermarking technology. This technology has been officially recognized for its prowess, including numerous domestic and international patents, a Grade 1 GS certification, and the Minister of Science and ICT Award for Innovation in Information Security Products. It is currently being adopted by various sectors, including the military, large corporations, and public institutions, for use in securing screens and printouts.
Leveraging its security and authentication capabilities, accumulated through collaborations with diverse industries, Raumsoft plans to offer new security and authentication services in the Japanese and Korean markets by integrating with SnapTag solutions. In the Japanese market, in particular, the company plans to expand into an integrated solution that addresses complex security needs, including facial recognition solutions.
The two companies expect that this agreement will enable them to broadly address the demand for invisible watermarking technology in Japan, including document forgery prevention, distribution channel tracking, and intellectual property rights protection.
“Through our collaboration with SnapTag, we have established a foundation for offering differentiated security solutions in the Japanese market,” said Cheon Byeong-gap, CEO of Raumsoft. “We will strengthen our domestic partnerships while simultaneously developing overseas markets to provide real value to our customers.”
Min Kyung-woong, CEO of SnapTag, said, “This agreement is an important milestone for the global expansion of SnapTag technology. We expect that the combination of Raumsoft’s distribution capabilities and our technology will create a new standard in document security and intellectual property protection in the global market, including Japan.”
