WeverseMind Registers Patent for AI-Based Pronunciation Feedback Technology

AI edtech company WeverseMind (CEO Jeong Seong-eun) announced on the 5th that it has completed patent registration for its pronunciation correction technology. The registered patent relates to "AI-based pronunciation assessment method, method for providing learning content for pronunciation coaching, and computing system for performing the same," and is a technology that uses AI to precisely analyze and correct learners' pronunciation.

This technology assesses pronunciation accuracy for each word and phoneme based on learner voice data. It then provides multifaceted feedback on pronunciation consistency, intonation, and stress through 1:1 comparisons with native speakers. Based on this feedback, learners can improve their pronunciation through repeated practice.

The technology is applied to Weverse Mind's representative foreign language learning brand, 'Noesagim', and is evaluated to have contributed to improving users' conversational skills through practical and precise pronunciation guides.

“This patent registration is a recognition of the originality and practicality of our AI-based pronunciation evaluation technology,” said Kwon Hyun-jin, Head of Product Development at Weverse Mind. “We will continue to develop technology focused on functions that are helpful for actual learning in the future.”
