Smart fulfillment company FASSTO announced on the 6th that it has signed a strategic partnership with intelligent robotics solution specialist CMES and will begin full-scale cooperation to strengthen automation in logistics centers.
Through this collaboration, Pasto will introduce Seemes' AI-based palletizing robot solution to improve the operational efficiency of its logistics center, and Seemes will continue to develop and supply robot automation technology optimized for Pasto's fulfillment centers.
The two companies plan to expand their collaboration, focusing on the joint development and deployment of logistics automation solutions. Specifically, they plan to jointly plan and commercialize an integrated logistics robotics solution package that combines Pasto's logistics operation expertise, including its Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Warehouse Execution System (WES), with C-Mes' AI and 3D vision-based robotics technology.
Furthermore, the two companies will jointly identify automation needs specific to Pasto's directly-operated logistics centers and customer logistics sites and promote the commercialization of these solutions. Through this, the two companies aim to not only improve logistics operations and reduce costs for customers, but also expand the logistics robot market.
Pasto recently expanded its logistics processing capabilities by opening four new fulfillment centers in the Seoul metropolitan area and Chungcheong region, with plans to open more centers in the second half of the year. Furthermore, the company is responding to the rapidly growing e-commerce orders by introducing a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week delivery service. In this environment, the introduction of an automated system suited to handling small, diverse orders and frequent shipments is essential.
A Pasto official stated, “We will accelerate innovation in logistics automation by combining our logistics center operation expertise with C-Mes’ AI robotics technology,” adding, “Through the continuous introduction of automation, we will be able to provide stable and fast services even as cargo volume increases.”
A CEMS official also stated, “We will increase productivity through our 3D vision-based AI palletizing technology optimized for fulfillment environments, while expanding the logistics automation ecosystem through close collaboration with Pasto.”
