Catenoid (CEO Hyung-seok Kim), a video technology as a service (VTaaS) company, announced on the 7th that it has provided its short-form video platform 'Charlla' to Hite Jinro Beverage's official online mall 'Jinro Tonic Mall'.
HiteJinro Beverage officially launched "Jinro Tonic Mall," the HiteJinro Group's first direct-to-consumer (D2C) online mall, in November 2023. The company has been introducing product features and drinking recipes through short-form content. However, issues such as loading delays and playback errors encountered with existing open video platforms have reduced content immersion. Therefore, the company has adopted the "Challna" platform to provide a more stable video service.
Since introducing Chalna, HiteJinro Beverage has leveraged various design tools to optimize content presentation and improve the user experience (UX). Specifically, content-centric screen layouts have been transformed to enhance user engagement and message delivery. This has led to improved page loading speeds and reduced bounce rates on Jinro Tonic Mall, enhancing operational efficiency. The product-to-visitor ratio has also increased from an average of 20% to 40%.
Hite Jinro Beverage recently launched a new product, 'Jinro Tonic Water Tomato', and is expanding various marketing activities through its own online mall.
Park Sung-joo, Manager of HiteJinro Beverage's Platform Team, explained, "Thanks to the Chalna platform's fast loading speed, stable video playback, and intuitive interface, not only has content quality improved, but operational efficiency has also improved, and consumer trust has also been enhanced." He added, "Going forward, we will expand our D2C channels to strengthen the connection between brands and consumers."
Kim Hyung-seok, CEO of Catenoid, said, “In our online store, short-form videos are becoming strategic assets that go beyond simple content and drive purchase conversions,” and added, “We will continue to enhance the functionality that combines short-form and e-commerce to actively support the adoption of short-form marketing by various companies.”
