
PSTech (CEO Jaeyong Hwang) announced on the 8th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Goldcard Smart Group (hereinafter referred to as Goldcard), a global smart meter manufacturer. The signing ceremony, held in Seoul, was attended by key officials from both companies, including PSTech Executive Director Kiyeon Kim and Goldcard Vice President Byron Wang.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to pursue multifaceted cooperation, including ▲cooperation on ultrasonic gas and water meter technology ▲establishment of automated smart meter manufacturing facilities ▲promotion of joint projects in domestic and international markets.
Founded in 1997, Goldcard is a China-based smart metering company specializing in IoT-based smart gas meters, as well as related software and data management platforms. Goldcard holds the largest market share in the gas meter sector in China and currently exports its products to over 40 countries, earning it a top global reputation. Furthermore, the company is recognized for its technological prowess in a variety of fields, including ultrasonic water meters and eco-friendly energy solutions.
PSTEC plans to strengthen its product competitiveness by leveraging its technological and manufacturing capabilities in the weighing and measurement fields with Gold Card's automated production technology and software solutions. Furthermore, leveraging the two companies' global networks and technological collaboration, the company plans to actively expand its overseas business, including entering third-country markets.
A PSTech official stated, “This agreement will be an important opportunity to not only improve the production efficiency and technological advancement of smart meters, but also expand business opportunities in domestic and international markets.” He added, “Through cooperation, the two companies plan to jointly respond to the development of new markets beyond the meter field.”
