Fluxity (CEO Jae-min Yoon), a provider of smart golf course control and facility operation solutions, and Catalonics (CEO Min Seok), a data-driven golf course management company, announced on the 8th that they have signed a strategic partnership. Building on Hoban Group's investment, the two companies plan to jointly develop and commercialize technologies for the digital transformation of golf course operations, leveraging digital twins and AI data analysis technologies.
Under this agreement, the two companies will collaborate on service packaging and platform scalability enhancements, joint domestic and international marketing, and technological collaboration to innovate digital golf course operations. Specifically, the integrated solution will be applied and refined at Hoban Group-affiliated golf courses, including Seo Seoul Country Club in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, and H1 Club in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, to verify its field-focused effectiveness.
Beyond a simple technology partnership, the two companies aim to build an "Intelligent Golf Tech Alliance," expanding partnerships with various companies and focusing on expanding the golf course digital ecosystem. With rising management and labor costs at domestic golf courses, demand for IT-based operational efficiency is growing. Therefore, the two companies plan to leverage their technological prowess and networks to reduce operating costs and improve management efficiency.
Fluxity, which won the grand prize at Hoban Construction's "2020 Innovation Technology Competition," co-developed the construction management solution "Shared Safety." This solution won the gold prize in the UX category and the main prize in the service design category at the "iF Design Award 2023." Building on its IT capabilities accumulated over a decade, Fluxity launched the golf course-specific brand "PLUG GOLF" in 2024, providing services to domestic and international markets. Key solutions include tablet-based and non-caddie portable game control services for carts, remote control of golf courses and clubhouses, and energy-saving facility operation services.
Catalonics is reducing its reliance on drones and sensors through its satellite-based golf course management solution, "GDX." Using a proprietary satellite alignment engine, it automatically analyzes various vegetation indices, and a dashboard visualizing these data allows for easy irrigation and fertilization instructions. Building on its domestic experience, Catalonics is also pursuing expansion into global markets, including resort courses in Southeast Asia.
A Fluxity official stated, “With the growing demand for digital transformation in golf courses, we have laid the foundation for our two companies’ technologies and solutions to work complementarily,” adding, “We will work with Hoban Group to develop technologies that will enable us to lead the golf tech sector.”
