The Gyeonggi Innovation Center hosted the 32nd Startup 815 IR-SEED.

The Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (hereinafter referred to as the Gyeonggi Innovation Center) announced that it held the '32nd Startup 815 IR-SEED' event at the Pangyo Startup Zone on the 7th and operated an IR program to attract investment and expand business for early-stage startups in the climate technology field.

This IR event was designed to provide strategic matching opportunities with private investors for startups with technological prowess in climate tech, including vegan fabrics, smart agriculture, and biodegradable materials. Participating companies presented innovative solutions to address climate change, under the keyword "sustainable alternative technology," and were evaluated for their marketability and technological prowess.

Three companies participated in the event: ▲GreenContinue Co., Ltd. (developing vegan fabrics using plant cellulose), ▲Jobex (satellite-based AI precision agriculture platform 'Farm Genius'), and ▲Oape Co., Ltd. (biodegradable cellulose materials derived from biomass). Each company introduced core technologies specialized in climate response, such as sustainable materials, precision agriculture technology, and plastic alternative materials, and emphasized the potential for global expansion.

Representatives from major domestic venture capital (VC) firms, including KH Venture Partners, Infobank, SparkLabs, D3 Jubilee Partners, MYSC, Impact Square, Blue Point Partners, D.Camp, Korea Investment Partners, Central Investment Partners, and Coolidge Corner Investment, attended the event and evaluated the commercialization potential and investment attractiveness of each company.

An official from the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “In order to grow and expand the climate tech industry, a close connection structure between startups, investors, and the industry is essential,” and added, “The Gyeonggi Innovation Center will focus on practical investment linkages and ecosystem activation to help climate technology-based startups settle into the commercialization stage.”
