KOC Partners is recruiting for its 6th K-IPO School program for venture companies.

KOC Partners (CEO Jeon Yong-deok) announced that it will be recruiting representatives and executives of venture companies, CVC and venture executives of general companies in July and August for the 6th K-IPO School, which aims to help venture companies systematically prepare for IPOs, and will begin operation in September.

'K-IPO School' aims to help venture founders and managers integrate accounting, financial theory, and IPO practices into their business activities, and further, to achieve sustainable corporate growth through efficient fundraising and exit.

The curriculum consists of accounting and finance fundamentals specialized for startups, IPO/EXIT cases and pre-IPO investment attraction, characteristics of each KOSDAQ listing type, IPO strategy and process, internal control system, exit strategy through M&A, and overseas investment attraction strategy. Through the IPO/EXIT strategy presentation assignment at the end of the semester, students can apply the learned theories to practice and establish an EXIT plan.

The program runs from September 2nd to December 16th, with 15 weeks of training on Tuesday evenings. The faculty includes Professor Emeritus Han In-koo of KAIST College of Business, along with 11 other faculty members with extensive experience and expertise in the venture and investment industries. These include Kwon Jae-joong, CEO of K-Run Ventures; Jeong Hoe-hoon, CEO of KAIST Youth Startup Investment Holdings; Han Cheol-min, Director of Hana Securities; and Yoo Jang-hoon, Managing Director of Eugene Investment & Securities. Upon graduation, K-IPO School alumni will receive networking and mentoring support from the private-sector startup ecosystem, KOC, to attract investment and support exits.

KOC Partners CEO Jeon Yong-deok said, “Through the 1st to 5th courses, we have produced about 80 graduates from promising domestic and international venture companies, as well as those from various fields such as startup-related organizations, journalists, and investors. We are actively interacting with each other through the alumni association and expanding our venture network.” He added, “Through the 6th course, we plan to provide even more substantial classes by preparing various special lectures in addition to the existing curriculum.”

Meanwhile, KOC Partners is an accelerator company based on the KAIST-based alumni startup ecosystem 'KAIST One Club (hereinafter referred to as KOC)', and as of March 2025, it has invested in around 60 start-up companies and is supporting the actual growth of venture companies through more than 100 expert mentors in 20 fields, including investors within KOC, industry experts, and university professors including those from KAIST.
