Geogrid (CEO Kim Ki-hyun), an eco-friendly smart water purification plant specialist, announced on the 11th that it has installed a smart water purification system, ‘BLOS (Building Oasis)’, at Kyunghee Girls’ Middle School in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
This installation was implemented as part of the "2024 Seoul City Demonstration Support Project," hosted by the Seoul Business Agency (SBA). Kyunghee Girls' Middle School participated in the project to improve the sanitary environment in its cafeteria, and after installing the Blos, the school received a certified water quality test result that met drinking water standards.
Unlike conventional water purifiers that purify only a few taps in the cafeteria, the Bloss system integrates and purifies water from the entire cafeteria plumbing network. It blocks external contaminants, removes rust, slime, and scale from pipes, provides dual sterilization using UV and ionization, and monitors water quality in real time using six different water quality sensors. Furthermore, it can be installed in just one day without pipe replacement, making it suitable for schools with existing facilities.
This project is being recognized as a prime example of innovation in water quality and sanitation within public educational facilities. Its contribution to ensuring the safety of students' drinking and cooking water, as well as improving operational efficiency and hygiene standards in educational settings, is noteworthy. The solution is also being recognized as being in line with the government's "Green Smart School" policy, which aims to transform aging schools into digital, eco-friendly educational spaces.
“We needed a reliable water quality management system to improve cafeteria hygiene,” said an official from Kyunghee Girls’ Middle School. “We decided that Bloss was the right system for the educational setting not only because of its technical performance but also because of its short installation time and real-time management capabilities.”
Geogrid CEO Kim Ki-hyun said, “It is meaningful that we can demonstrate Bloss in the educational field with the support of the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the SBA,” and added, “We plan to expand the application of customized water purification solutions to more schools in the future.”
