The Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Won-kyung Kim, hereinafter referred to as the Gyeonggi Innovation Center) announced that it began recruiting companies to participate in the '2025 Gyeonggi Carbon Neutral Fund Investment Attraction Pitching Day', co-hosted with Gyeonggi Province, on August 11.
This event aims to support investment opportunities for promising climate tech startups. The finals will be held at the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation on October 24th. Approximately 10 startups will advance to the finals, which will be divided into an "Early League" for companies in the early stages of growth and a "Leap League" for companies preparing for accelerated growth.
The final winning companies will receive a total of 10 million won in prize money and a certificate of merit. They will also receive various follow-up support, including consulting on improving IR data, one-on-one consultations with key investors, and follow-up networking. The participation of major domestic venture capitalists and TIPS operators is expected to provide participating companies with substantial investment opportunities and potential for business expansion.
This pitching day is being promoted as part of the 'Gyeonggi Province Climate Tech Startup Fostering Project,' and the Gyeonggi Innovation Center, in collaboration with Gyeonggi Province, aims to revitalize the climate tech industry ecosystem by establishing a full-cycle support system from the initial startup stage through investment attraction, market entry, and global expansion.
An official from the Gyeonggi Innovation Center stated, “This event is a platform that provides climate tech startups in and outside of Gyeonggi Province with a practical opportunity to connect directly with private investors,” and added, “We will continue to provide various support to foster the growth of technology-based companies that can contribute to carbon neutrality and responding to the climate crisis.”
Startups wishing to participate can apply through the Gyeonggi Province website or the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center website until September 2nd.
