WHO and the Korea Human Resources Development Institute for Health and Welfare will hold a workshop on international organizations in September.

The World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for the Western Pacific (Director Saia Ma'u Piukala) and the Korea Human Resources Development Institute for Health and Welfare (Director Bae Geum-ju) will co-host the 'Go WHO Korea Workshop' in Busan on September 11 and in Seoul on September 13.

This workshop is designed to provide recruitment strategies and job information to young talent aspiring to work at international organizations like the WHO. Current professionals, including HR managers from the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office, will participate directly to provide practical information on recruitment procedures, resume and cover letter writing, and interview strategies.

Participants will be able to learn practical information related to working at international organizations, including WHO's organizational structure, key personnel systems, and departmental roles, through lectures. Video content featuring the experiences of current seniors will also be provided.

This workshop, with 50 participants in Busan and 170 in Seoul, is aimed at young people and university students interested in pursuing careers in international health. Participation is free.

Bae Geum-ju, President of the Korea Human Resources Development Institute for Health and Welfare, said, “This will be an opportunity to provide practical guidance to young talents who wish to advance into the field of international health,” and added, “We will continue to expand the international health capacity-building program in the future.”
