Lecle launches new platform to help startups develop prototypes

Last week startup Lecle launched its new all-in-one development service named Let’s Up.

The Lean Startup methodology has been around for quite a while now and is also being implemented by mid-sized companies and even large corporations. The method focuses on creating prototypes of products or services by quickly building them, receiving feedback, and continuously implementing improvements to test marketability and save costs.

One problem is that quickly recruiting developers to create prototypes can be difficult, and labor is expensive for early startups. Outsourcing to another company or freelancer is also an option, but again cost is an issue and it becomes harder to track data during the development process.

Lecle recently launched Let’s Up, a BaaS (Backend as a Service) platform, which aims to help companies quickly develop prototypes in the absence of developers. Support includes hypothesis testing, product implementation, data collection and provision, and operating prototypes. Not only does Let’s Up offer a quick and lightweight open source development platform, but the solution is also affordable — making it an attractive option for startups.

This isn’t the first development service aimed from Lecle, with startups such as Tastelog, Chef On and Fantagram having all received help to launch their products and services. Lecle CEO Jokyun Jeong is part of the first generation of internet developers in Korea who founded and oversaw development for popular portal sites Netian and Dreamwiz.

“As a company that takes responsibility for all things from development through to implementation for the client, Lecle has successfully applied the Lean Startup methodology by working with various startups,” says Jeong. “We will continue our efforts to collaborate with overseas talent and enhance our platform performance in order to reduce costs significantly.”
