A mobile application market data and insights company App Annie, in its February data of App Annie Insights, explained that food delivery service providers have expand their market by making off-line restaurants more accessible.


According to the February data which tracks the user number of food & beverage apps on Android, food delivery applications such as Baedal Minjok, Baedal Yogiyo and Baedaltong were among the top apps in terms of monthly active users.

In particular, Baedal Minjok is bent on managing users’ reviews to enhance the app’s credibility. The company receives about 60,000 user reviews on a daily basis and monitors them in real time to sort out false or defamatory reviews.

Such trust-building efforts may be one of the contributing factors to the company’s growing market share. The number of active users of Baedal Minjok has doubled within three years when compared to February of 2015.
Currently, Baedal Minjok and Baedal Yogiyo are battling for ultimate market supremacy, ranking first and second on both Android and iOS while Baedaltong ranked third and fourth on Android and iOS respectively. More details on App Annie Insights are available here.
