Toss has launched overseas stock trading service.

Viva Republica, the operator of the mobile financial transaction application Toss, announced on 9th of this month that it has released the overseas stock trading service.

The service allows users to trade stocks listed on overseas bourses that are sold by Shinhan Investment Corp without going through complicated procedures. Users can trade 20 foreign stocks, including Google, Amazon and Apple, on Toss application. The minimum number of shares that investors can purchase is one.

Users will be able to check the South Korean won prices of the stocks on a real-time basis on its ‘Overseas trading service’ menu in Toss application. As Investors can trade and exchange currency with a single touch with the application, they do not need to open an trading account or exchange currencies. All they have to do is just to open Shinhan Investment Corporation’s CMA account, Main Account Plus.

The trading hours is from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time, and all trade requests handling begins upon the opening of the U.S. stock market. The company plans to expand the scope of investment to Chinese and Vietnamese shares down the road.

“Toss is the service designed to promote and assist users’ convenient financial transaction,” The CEO of Toss, Seung-gun Lee said. ” I expect that our new service which simplifies the complex trading procedures of overseas stocks will be a great news to investors” he added.
