뉴미디어 종합 콘텐츠 기업 더에스엠씨(대표 김용태)가 포항공과대학교(POSTECH) 인공지능연구원과 생성형 AI 기반 기술 협력을 위한 산학 공동 연구 협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 25일 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 생성형 AI를 중심으로 한 기술 개발과 산업 융합을 가속화하고, 국내 디지털 생태계의 고도화에 기여하기 위해 추진됐다. 양 기관은 향후 ▲AI 데이터 확보 및 핵심 기술 공동 개발 ▲인력·기술 자원 교류 ▲AI 기반 공동 연구 프로젝트 발굴 및 추진 ▲기술 사업화 협력 등 다양한 분야에서 전략적 협력을 이어갈 계획이다.
더에스엠씨는 구글, 메타, X 등 글로벌 플랫폼의 공식 파트너사로, 생성형 AI 기술을 콘텐츠 제작부터 마케팅 자동화까지 실무에 접목한 독자적인 역량을 보유하고 있다. 광고업계 내에서는 선도적으로 ‘AI Labs’, ‘AI Studio’ 등 전문 조직을 구축해 운영 중이다.
포항공과대학교 인공지능연구원은 AI 연구기관으로, 이론 중심을 넘어 산업 응용과 실증 기반의 연구를 통해 산업계와 학계 간 기술 접점을 지속적으로 넓혀가고 있다.
