경기창조경제혁신센터(대표 김원경, 이하 ‘경기혁신센터’)는 지난 8월 28일, 미국 캘리포니아 소재 글로벌 창업 교육기관인 University of San Francisco(USF)와 스타트업의 글로벌 진출 및 창업 생태계 협력을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 경기혁신센터가 전국 창조경제혁신센터의 글로벌 전략 허브 역할을 수행하며 추진 중인 해외 진출 지원 사업의 일환이다. 미국 실리콘밸리 기반 창업 교육기관인 USF와의 협력을 통해 민간·학계·공공이 연계된 글로벌 진출 지원 체계를 강화한다는 목적이다.
양 기관은 이번 협약을 통해 ▲상호 보육 기업의 현지 진출 지원(Soft Landing) ▲시장 진출 관련 멘토링 및 B2B 매칭 ▲액셀러레이팅 프로그램·데모데이 공동 운영 ▲정책·시장 인사이트 교류 등을 주요 협력 분야로 설정했다.
경기혁신센터는 USF와의 협력을 통해 한국 스타트업이 미국 시장에 초기 진입하는 데 필요한 멘토링, 현지 네트워크 연계, 정착 지원 등 실질적인 기반을 제공할 계획이다. 아울러 USF 측 스타트업이 한국 진출을 모색할 경우, 판교 테크노밸리 등 국내 창업 인프라와의 연결을 지원한다.
또한 양 기관은 각자의 보육 프로그램 및 행사에 상호 초청을 진행하고, 공동 세미나 및 워크숍을 통해 한·미 창업 환경과 정책에 대한 상호 이해를 높일 방침이다.
김원경 경기혁신센터 대표는 “이번 협약은 단순한 교류를 넘어 한·미 양국 창업 인프라 간 실질적 연계를 위한 기반이 될 것”이라며, “글로벌 대학 및 파트너들과의 협력을 지속 확대해 한국 스타트업의 해외 진출을 보다 체계적으로 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Gyeonggi Innovation Center signs a business agreement with the USF.
The Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Won-kyung Kim, hereinafter referred to as the “Gyeonggi Innovation Center”) announced on August 28 that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the University of San Francisco (USF), a global entrepreneurship education institution located in California, USA, for the global expansion of startups and cooperation in the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
This agreement is part of the Gyeonggi Innovation Center's ongoing overseas expansion support initiative, serving as a global strategic hub for the nation's Creative Economy Innovation Centers. The goal is to strengthen the global expansion support system that connects the private, academic, and public sectors through collaboration with USF, a Silicon Valley-based entrepreneurship education institute.
Through this agreement, the two organizations have set the following as key areas of cooperation: ▲Soft Landing support for mutual childcare companies entering the local market, ▲Mentoring and B2B matching related to market entry, ▲Joint operation of accelerator programs and demo days, and ▲Exchange of policy and market insights.
Through its collaboration with USF, the Gyeonggi Innovation Center plans to provide a practical foundation for Korean startups to enter the US market, including mentoring, local networking, and settlement support. Furthermore, if USF-affiliated startups seek to expand into Korea, the center will support their connection to domestic startup infrastructure, including Pangyo Techno Valley.
Additionally, the two organizations plan to mutually invite each other to their respective childcare programs and events and enhance mutual understanding of the Korean-American startup environment and policies through joint seminars and workshops.
Kim Won-kyung, CEO of the Gyeonggi Innovation Center, said, “This agreement will go beyond simple exchange and become the foundation for practical connections between the startup infrastructures of Korea and the U.S. We will continue to expand cooperation with global universities and partners to more systematically support the overseas expansion of Korean startups.”

Le Centre Gyeonggi pour l'économie créative et l'innovation (PDG Won-kyung Kim, ci-après dénommé le « Centre d'innovation Gyeonggi ») a annoncé le 28 août avoir signé un protocole d'accord (MOU) avec l'Université de San Francisco (USF), un établissement d'enseignement entrepreneurial mondial situé en Californie, aux États-Unis, pour l'expansion mondiale des startups et la coopération dans l'écosystème entrepreneurial.
Cet accord s'inscrit dans le cadre du programme de soutien à l'expansion internationale du Centre d'innovation de Gyeonggi, qui sert de plateforme stratégique mondiale aux Centres d'innovation pour l'économie créative du pays. L'objectif est de renforcer le système de soutien à l'expansion internationale qui relie les secteurs privé, universitaire et public grâce à une collaboration avec l'USF, un institut de formation à l'entrepreneuriat basé dans la Silicon Valley.
Grâce à cet accord, les deux organisations ont défini les domaines clés de coopération suivants : ▲ Soutien à l'atterrissage en douceur pour les entreprises mutuelles de garde d'enfants entrant sur le marché local, ▲ Mentorat et mise en relation B2B liés à l'entrée sur le marché, ▲ Exploitation conjointe de programmes d'accélération et de journées de démonstration, et ▲ Échange d'informations sur les politiques et le marché.

En outre, les deux organisations prévoient de s'inviter mutuellement à leurs programmes et événements de garde d'enfants respectifs et d'améliorer la compréhension mutuelle de l'environnement et des politiques des startups coréennes-américaines par le biais de séminaires et d'ateliers conjoints.
