의료 인공지능(AI) 기업 루닛(대표 서범석)은 글로벌 임상시험수탁기관(CRO) 셀카르타(CellCarta)와 AI 바이오마커 플랫폼 ‘루닛 스코프’의 글로벌 임상시험 활용을 위한 전략적 파트너십을 체결했다고 25일 밝혔다.
캐나다 몬트리올에 본사를 둔 셀카르타는 정밀의학 연구 및 임상시험 지원을 제공하는 글로벌 CRO 선도기업으로, 미국, 벨기에, 중국 등 전 세계에 연구시설을 보유하고 있다. 특히 디지털 병리학과 AI 기술을 임상시험에 통합하는 분야에서 업계 최고 수준의 전문성을 갖추고 있으며, 1,000건 이상의 임상연구 참여와 250개 이상의 면역조직염색(IHC) 분석법 개발 경험을 바탕으로 연간 10만 건 이상의 IHC 분석을 제공하고 있다.
이번 파트너십은 루닛의 AI 기술과 셀카르타의 CRO 전문성 및 글로벌 인프라를 결합해 제약사들이 신약개발 과정에서 AI 기반 바이오마커 분석을 보다 쉽고 신속하게 활용할 수 있도록 지원하는 데 중점을 둔다.

Cellcarta boasts industry-leading expertise in integrating digital pathology and AI technologies into clinical trials. Based on its experience participating in over 1,000 clinical trials and developing over 250 immunohistochemical (IHC) assays, Cellcarta provides over 100,000 IHC assays annually.
This partnership focuses on combining Lunit's AI technology with Cellcarta's CRO expertise and global infrastructure to enable pharmaceutical companies to more easily and quickly utilize AI-based biomarker analysis in the new drug development process.
