인공지능(AI) 데이터 및 솔루션 전문기업 플리토(대표 이정수)는 지난 10일부터 12일까지 서울 삼성동 코엑스 컨퍼런스룸에서 열린 ‘2025 대한미용성형레이저의학회(ASLS) 미용 의료기기 박람회 및 추계 학술대회’에서 실시간 AI 동시통역 서비스를 제공했다고 17일 밝혔다.
대미레는 미용, 성형, 피부과 분야의 국제 학술행사로 전 세계 의료 전문가와 산업 관계자들이 참석해 최신 연구와 트렌드를 공유하는 자리다. 플리토는 공식 통번역 파트너사로서 AI 동시통역 솔루션 ‘라이브 트랜스레이션(Live Translation)’을 제공해 다국적 참가자 간 원활한 소통을 지원했다.
플리토는 발표자의 논문, 원고, 음성 데이터와 의학 전문 용어, 억양, 발음 패턴 등을 반영한 초개인화(Hyper-Personalization) 기반 AI 학습을 적용해 고품질 통번역 환경을 구현했다. 참석자들은 메인 스크린을 통해 영어, 중국어, 한국어, 일본어로 번역된 내용을 확인할 수 있었으며, 개인 모바일 기기로는 최대 42개 언어의 발표 내용을 실시간으로 확인할 수 있었다.
특히 ‘리프팅(Lifting)’, ‘모달리티(Modality)’, ‘디퓨즈(Defuse)’ 등 문맥에 따라 의미가 달라지는 의학 용어도 정확하게 번역했으며, 발음 편차(l/r, f/v)도 자동 보정해 발표자와 청중 간 원활한 소통을 지원했다.
플리토는 이번 경험을 바탕으로 글로벌 의료 및 기술 컨퍼런스 시장에서 AI 통번역 기술 역량을 강화할 계획이다. 또한 고품질 데이터 학습을 통한 특화 엔진으로 의료, 바이오, 기술 등 전문 학술 분야에 최적화된 맞춤형 통번역 서비스를 제공할 예정이다.

Building on this experience, Pluto plans to strengthen its AI translation and interpretation capabilities in the global medical and technology conference market. Furthermore, with a specialized engine trained on high-quality data, Pluto plans to provide customized translation and interpretation services optimized for specialized academic fields such as medicine, biotechnology, and technology.
