인공지능(AI) 데이터 전문 기업 플리토(대표 이정수)가 지난 16일부터 18일까지 미국 뉴욕 브루클린에서 열린 ‘UKF KOOM 2025’ 행사에 참가해 AI 기반 통번역 솔루션을 선보였다고 20일 밝혔다.
‘UKF KOOM 2025’는 한인 스타트업 종사자와 글로벌 창업 생태계 관계자들이 모이는 행사로, 한인창업자연합(UKF)이 주최하는 미국 내 최대 규모 한국계 스타트업 포럼이다. 이번 행사에서는 혁신 기술 소개, 네트워킹, 워크숍 등 다양한 프로그램이 진행되며 전 세계 투자자와 창업가 간 교류가 활발히 이뤄졌다.
플리토는 ‘KOOM Stage’와 ‘Dream Lounge’ 두 개 주요 무대에서 3일간 AI 동시통역 솔루션 ‘라이브 트랜스레이션(Live Translation)’을 운영했다. 참석자들은 최대 42개 언어로 실시간 발표 내용을 확인하며 언어 장벽 없이 소통할 수 있었다.
또한 플리토는 부스에서 온라인 미팅 특화 AI 통번역 솔루션 ‘챗 트랜스레이션(Chat Translation)’ 베타 버전을 공개했다. 이 솔루션은 프로젝트 단위 다중 대화방 생성이 가능하며, 사용자 맞춤형 데이터셋 생성 기능을 통해 번역 품질을 지속적으로 향상시킨다.
플리토는 이번 행사를 통해 미국 현지 스타트업 및 투자자 대상 글로벌 브랜드 인지도를 높이고, 다양한 문화와 언어를 가진 참석자들에게 자사의 K-AI 언어 데이터 기술을 소개하며 글로벌 시장 내 입지를 강화했다.

Pluto (CEO Lee Jeong-su), an artificial intelligence (AI) data specialist company, announced on the 20th that it participated in the 'UKF KOOM 2025' event held in Brooklyn, New York from the 16th to the 18th and presented an AI-based interpretation and translation solution.
"UKF KOOM 2025" is a gathering of Korean startup professionals and those involved in the global startup ecosystem. Hosted by the Korean Entrepreneurs' Coalition (UKF), it is the largest Korean startup forum in the United States. Pluto operated its AI simultaneous interpretation solution, "Live Translation," for three days on two main stages: "KOOM Stage" and "Dream Lounge." Attendees were able to view presentations in real time in up to 42 languages, enabling them to communicate without language barriers.
Additionally, Pluto unveiled the beta version of "Chat Translation," an AI translation solution specialized for online meetings, at its booth. This solution enables the creation of multiple chat rooms per project and continuously improves translation quality through the creation of customized datasets.
Through this event, Pluto raised its global brand awareness among local startups and investors in the US and strengthened its position in the global market by introducing its K-AI language data technology to attendees from diverse cultures and languages.
