초기투자액셀러레이터협회(협회장 전화성, 이하 KAIA)는 2025년 10월 21일 인도네시아 자카르타에서 열린 C4C 서밋(C4C Summit) 현장에서 인도네시아의 창업지원 비영리기관 KUMPUL(대표 Faye Wongso)과 양국 스타트업 및 벤처투자 생태계 협력 강화를 위한 양해각서(MOU)를 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 ▲스타트업 교류 및 시장 진출 지원 ▲오픈이노베이션 프로그램 공동 개발 ▲투자자 네트워킹 및 공동투자 기회 발굴 ▲공동 행사 및 포럼 개최 ▲전문가·멘토 교류 등 다양한 분야에서 협력하기로 합의했다.
KAIA는 중소벤처기업부 인가 비영리단체로, 국내 300여 개의 액셀러레이터 및 초기 단계 벤처투자자들이 참여하고 있다. 협회는 이번 협약을 통해 한국 스타트업의 인도네시아 진출 기반을 마련하고, 현지 투자자 및 액셀러레이터와의 협력을 통해 ‘글로벌 크로스보더 얼라이언스(Global Cross-Border Alliance)’ 구축을 추진할 계획이다.
KUMPUL은 인도네시아 전역의 창업 허브 및 커뮤니티를 연결하는 대표적인 창업 액셀러레이팅 플랫폼으로, 스타트업 지원, 지역 혁신, 투자 연계, 인재 양성 등 다양한 프로그램을 운영 중이다.
양 기관은 이번 협약을 계기로 한-인도네시아 간 스타트업 생태계의 상호 성장과 투자 협력을 위한 실질적 모델을 구축한다는 목표를 세웠다.
KAIA 관계자는 “이번 MOU는 양국 창업 생태계가 교류를 넘어 투자와 공동 프로그램으로 확장되는 출발점이 될 것”이라며, “앞으로도 동남아 각국과의 파트너십을 통해 한국 스타트업과 액셀러레이터의 글로벌 진출을 적극 지원할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
한편, KAIA와 KUMPUL은 향후 이번 협약을 기반으로 ‘Cross-Border Startup Builders Program’, ‘Investor Alliance Forum’ 등 공동 프로그램을 단계적으로 추진할 예정이다.

The Korea Early Investment Accelerator Association (KAIA, President Jeon Hwa-seong, hereinafter referred to as KAIA) announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with KUMPUL (CEO Faye Wongso), an Indonesian startup support non-profit organization, at the C4C Summit held in Jakarta, Indonesia on October 21, 2025 to strengthen cooperation in the startup and venture investment ecosystems of both countries.
Through this agreement, the two organizations agreed to cooperate in various areas, including ▲startup exchange and market entry support ▲joint development of open innovation programs ▲investor networking and discovery of joint investment opportunities ▲hosting joint events and forums ▲exchange of experts and mentors.
KAIA is a non-profit organization authorized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, with participation from approximately 300 domestic accelerators and early-stage venture capitalists. Through this agreement, the association plans to lay the foundation for Korean startups to enter the Indonesian market and, through collaboration with local investors and accelerators, establish a "Global Cross-Border Alliance."
KUMPUL is a leading startup accelerator platform connecting startup hubs and communities across Indonesia. It operates a variety of programs, including startup support, regional innovation, investment linkages, and talent development.
Through this agreement, the two organizations aim to establish a practical model for mutual growth and investment cooperation in the startup ecosystem between Korea and Indonesia.
A KAIA official stated, “This MOU will serve as a starting point for the two countries’ startup ecosystems to expand beyond exchanges to include investments and joint programs,” adding, “We plan to continue to actively support the global expansion of Korean startups and accelerators through partnerships with Southeast Asian countries.”
Meanwhile, KAIA and KUMPUL plan to gradually promote joint programs, such as the 'Cross-Border Startup Builders Program' and the 'Investor Alliance Forum', based on this agreement.

La Korea Early Investment Accelerator Association (KAIA, président Jeon Hwa-seong, ci-après dénommée KAIA) a annoncé avoir signé un protocole d'accord (MOU) avec KUMPUL (PDG Faye Wongso), une organisation indonésienne à but non lucratif de soutien aux startups, lors du sommet C4C qui s'est tenu à Jakarta, en Indonésie, le 21 octobre 2025 pour renforcer la coopération dans les écosystèmes de startups et d'investissement en capital-risque des deux pays.
Grâce à cet accord, les deux organisations ont convenu de coopérer dans divers domaines, notamment : ▲ l'échange de startups et le soutien à l'entrée sur le marché ; ▲ le développement conjoint de programmes d'innovation ouverte ; ▲ la mise en réseau des investisseurs et la découverte d'opportunités d'investissement conjointes ; ▲ l'organisation d'événements et de forums conjoints ; ▲ l'échange d'experts et de mentors.
KAIA est une organisation à but non lucratif agréée par le ministère des PME et des Startups, qui compte environ 300 accélérateurs et investisseurs en capital-risque nationaux en phase de démarrage. Grâce à cet accord, l'association entend poser les bases de l'entrée des start-up coréennes sur le marché indonésien et, en collaboration avec des investisseurs et des accélérateurs locaux, établir une « Alliance mondiale transfrontalière ».
KUMPUL est une plateforme d'accélération de startups de premier plan qui connecte les pôles et communautés de startups d'Indonésie. Elle propose divers programmes, notamment en matière de soutien aux startups, d'innovation régionale, de mise en relation avec les investisseurs et de développement des talents.
Grâce à cet accord, les deux organisations visent à établir un modèle pratique de croissance mutuelle et de coopération en matière d’investissement dans l’écosystème des startups entre la Corée et l’Indonésie.
Un responsable de la KAIA a déclaré : « Ce protocole d'accord servira de point de départ pour que les écosystèmes de startups des deux pays s'étendent au-delà des échanges pour inclure des investissements et des programmes communs », ajoutant : « Nous prévoyons de continuer à soutenir activement l'expansion mondiale des startups et des accélérateurs coréens grâce à des partenariats avec les pays d'Asie du Sud-Est. »
Parallèlement, KAIA et KUMPUL prévoient de promouvoir progressivement des programmes communs, tels que le « Cross-Border Startup Builders Program » et le « Investor Alliance Forum », sur la base de cet accord.
