인공지능(AI) 데이터 및 솔루션 전문 기업 플리토(대표 이정수)가 28일 경북 경주시 경주엑스포대공원 문무홀에서 열린 ‘APEC CEO 서밋 코리아 2025’ 특별 프로그램 ‘퓨처-테크 포럼 AI’에서 자사 AI 통번역 기술을 공식 지원했다고 29일 밝혔다.
이번 포럼은 SK그룹 주관으로 진행됐으며, 글로벌 AI 산업 리더들이 모여 최신 기술과 트렌드, 산업 현안에 대해 논의하는 자리였다. 행사에는 최태원 SK그룹 회장, 하정우 대통령비서실 AI미래기획수석비서관, 매트 가먼 아마존웹서비스(AWS) CEO, 최수연 네이버 대표, 김경훈 오픈AI 코리아 총괄대표, 최예진 스탠퍼드대 교수 등 국내외 주요 인사가 참석했다.
플리토는 행사 전 세션에서 실시간 AI 동시통역 솔루션 ‘라이브 트랜스레이션(Live Translation)’을 제공했다. 한국어 발언은 영어로, 영어 발언은 한국어로 메인 스크린에 송출했으며, QR코드를 통해 최대 42개 언어로 번역 내용을 확인할 수 있도록 했다. 해당 솔루션은 음성 인식(STT), 자연어 처리(NLP), AI 번역 엔진을 통합해 발화 내용을 자동 감지하고 문맥에 맞게 번역하는 기능을 갖췄다.
이정수 플리토 대표는 “퓨처-테크 포럼 AI에서 자사의 기술 경쟁력을 선보일 수 있었다”며 “차별화된 AI 언어 데이터 기술로 글로벌 관계자들이 원활하게 소통할 수 있도록 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

Hosted by SK Group, this forum brought together global AI industry leaders to discuss the latest technologies, trends, and industry issues. Key figures from Korea and abroad attended the event, including SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, Senior Secretary to the President for AI and Future Planning Ha Jung-woo, Amazon Web Services (AWS) CEO Matt Garman, Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon, OpenAI Korea CEO Kim Kyung-hoon, and Stanford University Professor Choi Ye-jin.
Pluto provided "Live Translation," a real-time AI simultaneous interpretation solution, for all sessions prior to the event. Korean speeches were broadcast in English and English speeches in Korean on the main screen, with translations available in up to 42 languages via QR codes. The solution integrates speech recognition (STT), natural language processing (NLP), and an AI translation engine, automatically detecting spoken content and providing context-sensitive translation.
