서울대학교 창업지원단과 알토스벤처스가 서울대 유망 창업 기업을 발굴하고투자 기회를 제공하기 위한 ‘SNU IR Meet UP’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 서울대학교 창업지원단이 투자사와 서울대 창업기업 간의 피칭 및 투자교류의 장을 만들기 위해 개최했다. 서울대학교 창업지원단은 매년 SNU IR Club과 IR Office Hour를 운영해 서울대학교 교원, 학생, 동문 및 학내 창업보육센터 입주기업들의 혁신적이고 유망한 사업화 모델을 지원해왔다.
알토스벤처스는 쿠팡, 우아한형제들, 토스(비바리퍼블리카), 당근, 크림 등 한국 대표 기술 기업들에 초기 단계부터 투자해 온 경험을 바탕으로, 차세대 혁신 기업을 발굴하기 위해 이번 프로그램에 참여해 약 4개 기업을 대상으로 심층적인 투자 검토 기회를 가졌다.
행사는 총 2개의 세션으로 준비되었으며, 투자사 소개와 미니 특강으로 시작했다. 안상일 알토스벤처스 파트너는 하이퍼커넥트 창업 및 성장 사례를 중심으로 알토스의 투자 관점을 소개했으며, 신정환 파트너와 정해민 심사역은 AI 기술을 포함한 주요 투자 분야와 한국 시장에서 관찰할 수 있는 창업 트렌드를 공유했다.
이후 비공개로 진행한 오피스아워에서는 선정된 4개 기업들이 각 30~40분간 투자사와 개별 미팅을 진행했다. IR 피칭, 질의응답, 피드백 등 실질적 투자 검토 절차를 경험했다.
알토스벤처스 관계자는 “기술 자체보다 중요한 것은 창업가의 문제 정의와 장기적 실행력”이라며 “AI는 산업의 근본 구조를 재편할 잠재력이 있는 만큼, 단기 유행이 아닌 지속 가능한 비즈니스 모델을 설계할 수 있는 창업가에 주목하고 있다”고 말했다.

Seoul National University's Startup Support Team and Altos Ventures announced that they held 'SNU IR Meet UP' to discover promising startups from Seoul National University and provide investment opportunities.
This event was organized by the Seoul National University Startup Support Team to provide a platform for pitching and investment exchange between investors and Seoul National University startups. The team operates the SNU IR Club and IR Office Hour every year, supporting innovative and promising commercialization models from Seoul National University faculty, students, alumni, and startups located in the university's startup incubation center.
Altos Ventures, based on its experience investing in leading Korean technology companies such as Coupang, Woowa Brothers, Toss (Viva Republica), Carrot, and Cream from the early stages, participated in this program to discover next-generation innovative companies and had the opportunity to conduct in-depth investment reviews of approximately four companies.
The event consisted of two sessions, beginning with investor introductions and a mini-lecture. Altos Ventures Partner Sang-il Ahn presented Altos' investment perspective, focusing on the startup and growth case of Hyperconnect. Partner Jeong-hwan Shin and Senior Research Analyst Hae-min Jeong shared key investment areas, including AI technology, and observed startup trends in the Korean market.
Following this, the four selected companies held private office hours, each holding 30-40 minute individual meetings with investors. They experienced the practical investment review process, including IR pitching, Q&A, and feedback.
An Altos Ventures official said, “More important than the technology itself are the entrepreneur’s problem definition and long-term execution capabilities,” adding, “Since AI has the potential to fundamentally restructure industries, we are focusing on entrepreneurs who can design sustainable business models, not short-term fads.”

イベントは合計2つのセッションで準備され、投資会社紹介とミニ特講で始まった。アン・サンイル・アルトスベンチャーズパートナーは、ハイパーコネクト創業及び成長事例を中心にアルトスの投資視点を紹介し、シン・ジョンファンパートナーとチョン・ヘミン審査役はAI技術を含む主要投資分野と韓国市場で観察できる創業トレンドを共有した。
以後、非公開で進行したオフィスアワーでは、選定された4社が各30～40分間、投資会社と個別ミーティングを行った。 IRピッチング、質疑応答、フィードバックなど、実質的な投資レビュー手続きを経験した。
アルトスベンチャーズ関係者は「技術自体より重要なのは創業家の問題定義と長期的実行力」とし「AIは産業の根本構造を再編する可能性があるだけに、短期流行ではなく持続可能なビジネスモデルを設計できる創業家に注目している」と話した。

L'équipe de soutien aux startups de l'Université nationale de Séoul et Altos Ventures ont annoncé avoir organisé le « SNU IR Meet UP » afin de découvrir des startups prometteuses issues de l'Université nationale de Séoul et de leur offrir des opportunités d'investissement.
Cet événement a été organisé par l'équipe de soutien aux startups de l'Université nationale de Séoul afin de créer une plateforme d'échange de projets et de financements entre investisseurs et startups issues de l'université. L'équipe anime chaque année le SNU IR Club et une permanence dédiée aux relations investisseurs, soutenant ainsi des modèles de commercialisation innovants et prometteurs portés par les professeurs, étudiants, anciens élèves et startups de l'incubateur de l'université.
Altos Ventures, forte de son expérience d'investissement dès ses débuts dans des entreprises technologiques coréennes de premier plan telles que Coupang, Woowa Brothers, Toss (Viva Republica), Carrot et Cream, a participé à ce programme de découverte d'entreprises innovantes de nouvelle génération et a eu l'opportunité de mener des analyses d'investissement approfondies sur environ quatre entreprises.
L'événement s'est déroulé en deux sessions, débutant par des présentations d'investisseurs et une mini-conférence. Sang-il Ahn, associé chez Altos Ventures, a présenté la stratégie d'investissement d'Altos, en s'appuyant sur l'exemple de la startup Hyperconnect et son potentiel de croissance. Jeong-hwan Shin, associé, et Hae-min Jeong, analyste de recherche senior, ont présenté les principaux domaines d'investissement, notamment l'intelligence artificielle, et ont analysé les tendances des startups sur le marché coréen.
Suite à cela, les quatre entreprises sélectionnées ont tenu des permanences privées, chacune s'entretenant individuellement avec des investisseurs pendant 30 à 40 minutes. Elles ont ainsi pu expérimenter concrètement le processus d'examen des investissements, incluant la présentation aux investisseurs, les questions-réponses et les retours d'information.
Un responsable d'Altos Ventures a déclaré : « Plus important que la technologie elle-même, ce sont la définition du problème par l'entrepreneur et ses capacités d'exécution à long terme », ajoutant : « Étant donné que l'IA a le potentiel de restructurer fondamentalement les industries, nous nous concentrons sur les entrepreneurs capables de concevoir des modèles commerciaux durables, et non sur des modes passagères. »
