주한독일상공회의소(KGCCI, 대표 마리 안토니아 폰 쉔부르크)는 주한독일대사관과 함께 13일 서울 동대문 노보텔 호텔에서 ‘2025 한-독 기후 환경 컨퍼런스’를 공동 개최했다고 14일 밝혔다.
이번 컨퍼런스는 “산업 에너지 효율 향상: 지속 가능한 미래를 향한 길”을 주제로 한국과 독일의 정부기관, 기업, 에너지·환경 전문가 등 80여명이 참석했다. 참가자들은 기후변화 대응과 산업 공급망의 탄소중립 실현 전략, 양국 간 협력 방안을 논의했다.
행사는 외른 바이써트 주한독일부대사와 마리 안토니아 폰 쉔부르크 KGCCI 대표의 환영사로 시작됐다. 이어 한국에너지기술연구원(KIER) 김성일 박사가 ‘산업 부분 넷제로 달성을 위한 에너지 효율의 핵심 역할’을 주제로 기조연설을 진행하며 산업 분야 에너지 효율 혁신의 중요성을 강조했다.
바이써트 부대사는 축사에서 “에너지 효율은 기후변화 대응에서 핵심적 역할을 하며, 독일 기업들은 관련 기술을 보유하고 있어 한국과의 협력을 적극 추진할 준비가 되어 있다”고 말했다.
컨퍼런스는 두 개 세션으로 진행됐다. 첫 번째 세션 ‘산업 에너지 효율화 정부 정책 및 이니셔티브’에서는 독일에너지청 디트마 그룬디히 산업무역본부장이 발표하고, 한국에너지공단 김길환 팀장이 국가 전략과 인센티브 프로그램, 정책 프레임워크를 소개했다.
두 번째 세션 ‘넷제로 미래를 위한 에너지 효율 향상과 그 이상의 혁신’에서는 KETEP 임승빈 실장이 사회를 맡아 지멘스 코리아 정하중 대표, 윌로펌프 서병철 부문장, 신성 엔지니어링 김한영 이사, 그리드위즈 류준영 사장이 패널로 참여해 산업 탈탄소화, 에너지 효율 기술, 디지털 솔루션 사례를 공유했다.
폰 쉔부르크 KGCCI 대표는 “에너지 효율은 산업 경쟁력의 핵심이며, 넷제로 달성을 위해 기업, 정부, 연구기관 간 파트너십이 필요하다”며 “한국과 독일은 협력을 통해 지속 가능한 산업 생태계를 구축하고 양국 경제 경쟁력을 강화할 것”이라고 말했다.

The German Chamber of Commerce in Korea (KGCCI, President Marie Antonia von Schönburg) announced on the 14th that it co-hosted the '2025 Korea-Germany Climate and Environment Conference' with the German Embassy in Korea at the Novotel Hotel in Dongdaemun, Seoul on the 13th.
This conference, themed "Improving Industrial Energy Efficiency: The Path to a Sustainable Future," was attended by approximately 80 participants, including government agencies, companies, and energy and environmental experts from Korea and Germany. Participants discussed climate change response strategies, carbon-neutralization strategies for industrial supply chains, and cooperation between the two countries.
The event began with welcoming remarks from German Deputy Ambassador to Korea Jorn Weissert and KGCCI President Marie Antonia von Schönburg. Dr. Kim Seong-il of the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) then delivered a keynote address on "The Key Role of Energy Efficiency in Achieving Net Zero in the Industrial Sector," emphasizing the importance of energy efficiency innovation in the industrial sector.
In his congratulatory remarks, Ambassador Weissert said, “Energy efficiency plays a key role in responding to climate change, and German companies possess the relevant technologies and are ready to actively pursue cooperation with Korea.”
The conference was divided into two sessions. In the first session, "Government Policies and Initiatives for Industrial Energy Efficiency," Dietmar Grundig, Director of the German Energy Agency's Industry and Trade Division, presented. Kim Gil-hwan, Team Leader at the Korea Energy Agency, introduced national strategies, incentive programs, and policy frameworks.
The second session, “Increasing Energy Efficiency and Beyond Innovation for a Net-Zero Future,” was moderated by KETEP Director Seungbin Lim, and panelists included Siemens Korea CEO Hajung Jeong, Wilo Pump Division Manager Byeongcheol Seo, Shinsung Engineering Director Hanyoung Kim, and Gridwiz President Junyoung Ryu. They shared examples of industrial decarbonization, energy efficiency technologies, and digital solutions.
“Energy efficiency is key to industrial competitiveness, and partnerships between companies, governments, and research institutes are necessary to achieve net zero,” said KGCCI President von Schönburg. “Through cooperation, Korea and Germany will build a sustainable industrial ecosystem and strengthen the economic competitiveness of both countries.”

La Chambre de commerce allemande en Corée (KGCCI, présidente Marie Antonia von Schönburg) a annoncé le 14 qu'elle co-organisait la « Conférence Corée-Allemagne sur le climat et l'environnement 2025 » avec l'ambassade d'Allemagne en Corée à l'hôtel Novotel de Dongdaemun, à Séoul, le 13.
Cette conférence, placée sous le thème « Améliorer l’efficacité énergétique industrielle : la voie d’un avenir durable », a réuni environ 80 participants, parmi lesquels des représentants d’organismes gouvernementaux, d’entreprises et des experts en énergie et en environnement de Corée et d’Allemagne. Les participants ont débattu des stratégies de lutte contre le changement climatique, des stratégies de neutralisation des émissions de carbone pour les chaînes d’approvisionnement industrielles et de la coopération bilatérale.
L'événement a débuté par les allocutions de bienvenue de Jorn Weissert, ambassadeur adjoint d'Allemagne en Corée, et de Marie Antonia von Schönburg, présidente de la KGCCI. Le Dr Kim Seong-il, de l'Institut coréen de recherche énergétique (KIER), a ensuite prononcé un discours d'ouverture intitulé « Le rôle clé de l'efficacité énergétique dans la réalisation de la neutralité carbone dans le secteur industriel », soulignant l'importance de l'innovation en matière d'efficacité énergétique dans ce secteur.
Dans son discours de félicitations, l'ambassadeur Weissert a déclaré : « L'efficacité énergétique joue un rôle clé dans la lutte contre le changement climatique, et les entreprises allemandes possèdent les technologies pertinentes et sont prêtes à poursuivre activement leur coopération avec la Corée. »
La conférence était divisée en deux sessions. Lors de la première, intitulée « Politiques et initiatives gouvernementales pour l'efficacité énergétique industrielle », Dietmar Grundig, directeur de la division Industrie et Commerce de l'Agence allemande de l'énergie, a présenté les enjeux. Kim Gil-hwan, chef d'équipe à l'Agence coréenne de l'énergie, a quant à lui exposé les stratégies nationales, les programmes d'incitation et les cadres politiques.
La deuxième session, intitulée « Améliorer l’efficacité énergétique et innover pour un avenir zéro émission nette », était animée par Seungbin Lim, directeur de KETEP. Parmi les intervenants figuraient Hajung Jeong, PDG de Siemens Korea, Byeongcheol Seo, directeur de la division Pompes de Wilo, Hanyoung Kim, directeur de l’ingénierie chez Shinsung, et Junyoung Ryu, président de Gridwiz. Ils ont présenté des exemples de décarbonation industrielle, de technologies d’efficacité énergétique et de solutions numériques.
« L’efficacité énergétique est essentielle à la compétitivité industrielle, et les partenariats entre entreprises, gouvernements et instituts de recherche sont indispensables pour atteindre la neutralité carbone », a déclaré M. von Schönburg, président de la KGCCI. « Grâce à cette coopération, la Corée et l’Allemagne construiront un écosystème industriel durable et renforceront la compétitivité économique des deux pays. »
