AI 데이터·신뢰성 평가 전문 기업 셀렉트스타는 55억 원의 시리즈B 추가 투자 유치를 통해 시리즈B 라운드를 총 260억 원 규모로 마감했다고 1일 밝혔다. 이로써 셀렉트스타의 누적 투자금은 약 434억 원에 이르렀다.
이번 추가 투자에는 삼성벤처투자, 미래에셋벤처투자, 플럭스벤처스가 새롭게 참여했다. 특히 삼성벤처투자는 삼성생명 전략투자펀드를 통해 전략적 투자를 진행했으며, 이는 삼성생명이 추진 중인 AI 에이전트 기반 AX 전략과 셀렉트스타의 AI 데이터·신뢰성 평가 기술 간 시너지 효과를 기대한 결과로 풀이된다.
셀렉트스타는 최근 ‘삼성금융 C-Lab Outside’에서 금융업 특화 AI 데이터 파이프라인 및 신뢰성 평가 솔루션을 제안하며 삼성생명 최우수 스타트업으로 선정된 바 있다. 이러한 실증 협력 경험이 전략적 투자로 이어지면서, 금융 분야에서의 추가 협력 가능성도 높아지고 있다.
셀렉트스타는 지난 8월 KB인베스트먼트, 신한벤처투자, 세일즈포스 등 국내외 투자사로부터 205억 원 규모의 시리즈B 투자를 유치했다. 이번 추가 투자를 포함해 금융권 중심의 VC들이 대거 참여하면서, 셀렉트스타는 국내 주요 금융사의 AI 핵심 파트너로 입지를 강화하고 있다.

셀렉트스타는 이번 투자를 계기로 데이터 전처리부터 생성, 신뢰성 평가까지 아우르는 올인원 플랫폼으로 확장하고 글로벌 진출을 본격화할 계획이다. 2018년 설립된 회사는 AI 학습 데이터 구축과 신뢰성 검증 솔루션 ‘Datumo Eval’을 기반으로 국내 5대 그룹 및 5대 금융그룹을 포함한 320여 개 기업과 협력 중이다. 또한 SK텔레콤 컨소시엄과 함께 국가대표 AI 개발 프로젝트에도 참여하고 있다.

Last August, SelectStar secured KRW 20.5 billion in Series B funding from domestic and international investors, including KB Investment, Shinhan Venture Investment, and Salesforce. With this additional investment and the participation of a significant number of VCs focused on the financial sector, SelectStar is strengthening its position as a key AI partner for major domestic financial institutions.
Kim Se-yeop, CEO of SelectStar, stated that this investment signifies the broad recognition of SelectStar's AI data construction and reliability technology in the financial sector, and that the company plans to expand its AX-specific data pipeline and quality and stability assessment platform across various industries.
