의료 AI 기업 메디웨일이 중소벤처기업부 주관 ‘2025 벤처창업진흥 유공 포상’에서 국무총리 표창을 수상했다고 10일 밝혔다. 시상식은 서울 코엑스에서 수상자와 정부 및 유관 기관 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.
벤처창업진흥 유공 포상은 서류 심사와 실적 검증 등 엄격한 절차를 통해 벤처 산업 성장과 혁신에 실질적으로 기여한 기업과 개인을 선정해 포상하는 제도다. 메디웨일은 이번 수상을 통해 기술 혁신과 산업 기여를 공식적으로 인정받았다.
메디웨일은 세계 최초로 간편한 눈 검사만으로 심혈관질환 발생 위험을 심장 CT와 유사한 정확도로 예측할 수 있는 ‘닥터눈 CVD’를 개발·상용화했다. 해당 솔루션은 심혈관질환 예방 패러다임을 혁신한 제품으로 평가되며, 국내 헬스케어 산업 발전에 기여한 점이 높은 점수를 받았다.
