세종창조경제혁신센터(대표이사 오득창, 이하 세종센터)는 민간 투자사 ㈜페인터즈앤벤처스와(대표이사 이정훈, 김경숙) 함께 ‘세종 페인터즈 창업혁신펀드 1호 투자조합’ 결성 총회를 개최하고, 세종지역 스타트업 대한 본격적인 공동 투자를 공식화했다.
㈜페인터즈앤벤처스는 세종 지역의 유일한 글로벌 액셀러레이터이자 벤처캐피탈로, 초기 기업의 펀더멘털 성장과 국내외 시장 안착에 필요한 핵심 리소스를 ‘함께 그려가는(Paint)’하는 팁스(TIPS) 및 립스(LIPS) 운영사이다.
세종 페인터즈 창업혁신펀드 1호 투자조합은 초기창업기업 및 벤처기업을 주요 투자 대상으로 하며, 특히 세종 지역의 유망 테크기업을 발굴·투자함으로써 초기기업 글로벌 성장 지원에 집중할 계획이다.
세종센터 관계자는 “이번 펀드 결성은 지역 민간 투자사와 협력을 통해 세종시 초기 창업기업의 투자 접근성을 실질적으로 높이는 계기가 될 것”이라며, “비수도권을 거점으로 함께하는 ㈜페인터즈앤벤처스의 글로벌 확장 관점 투자 전문성을 바탕으로 지역 스타트업의 성장과 시장 안착을 가속화할 핵심 파트너로 기대된다”고 밝혔다.

Sejong Center and Painters & Ventures Launch the First Sejong Painters Startup Innovation Fund
Sejong Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Oh Deuk-chang, hereinafter referred to as Sejong Center) held a general meeting to establish the 'Sejong Painters Startup Innovation Fund No. 1 Investment Association' together with private investment firm Painters & Ventures (CEOs Lee Jeong-hoon and Kim Gyeong-sook), and formalized full-scale joint investment in startups in the Sejong region.
Painters & Ventures Co., Ltd. is the only global accelerator and venture capital firm in the Sejong region. It operates TIPS and LIPS, which "paint together" the core resources necessary for the fundamental growth of early-stage companies and their establishment in domestic and international markets.
Sejong Painters Startup Innovation Fund No. 1 Investment Association focuses on early-stage startups and venture companies, and plans to focus on supporting the global growth of early-stage companies by discovering and investing in promising tech companies in the Sejong region.
A Sejong Center official stated, “The formation of this fund will be an opportunity to substantially increase investment accessibility for Sejong City’s early-stage startups through collaboration with local private investment firms,” adding, “Based on Painters & Ventures’ global expansion perspective and investment expertise, which is based outside the metropolitan area, we expect them to be a key partner that will accelerate the growth and market establishment of local startups.”
