의료 인공지능 기업 루닛은 19일부터 23일까지 스위스 다보스에서 열린 세계경제포럼(World Economic Forum, WEF)에 글로벌 의료 AI 기업으로는 최초로 4년 연속 참석했다고 20일 밝혔다.
세계경제포럼은 매년 전 세계 정치·경제·산업 분야 주요 인사들이 모여 국제 현안을 논의하는 연례 행사로, 올해 56회째를 맞아 ‘대화의 정신(A Spirit of Dialogue)’을 주제로 개최됐다. 이번 행사에는 약 130개국에서 3,000여 명의 정부 및 산업계 리더가 참석했다.
특히 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령, 에마뉘엘 마크롱 프랑스 대통령, 마크 카니 캐나다 총리 등 약 65명의 국가 정상과 400여 명의 각국 정치 지도자가 참여해 역대 최대 규모의 정부 인사 참석 기록을 세웠다. 포럼에서는 혁신 기술의 빠른 발전 속도와 함께 인공지능을 포함한 첨단 기술의 책임 있는 활용이 주요 의제로 다뤄졌다.
루닛은 2020년 세계경제포럼의 ‘기술 선도 기업(Technology Pioneer)’으로 선정되며 처음 참가한 이후 매년 초청을 받아왔다. 2023년에는 ‘글로벌 혁신 기업(Global Innovator)’으로, 2024년에는 전 세계 의료 AI 기업 가운데 최초로 ‘준회원사(Associate Partner)’ 자격을 획득했으며, 올해로 준회원사 자격 3년째를 맞고 있다.
이번 포럼에서 서범석 대표는 각국 정부 보건 분야 관계자와 글로벌 의료 및 제약업계 리더들을 만나 의료 현장에서의 AI 도입과 활용 방안을 논의할 예정이다. 암 조기 발견과 치료 의사결정 지원, 공공의료 시스템 강화 등 글로벌 헬스케어 과제 해결 과정에서 의료 AI가 수행할 역할에 대해 다양한 논의가 이뤄질 계획이다.
서범석 대표는 의료 AI의 신뢰성과 임상적 근거 확보가 각국 정부와 의료기관의 핵심 관심사로 부각되고 있다며, 그간 다보스포럼을 통해 축적한 글로벌 네트워크를 기반으로 의료 AI에 대한 기대와 요구를 사업 전략에 반영해 나갈 계획이라고 밝혔다.

Notably, approximately 65 heads of state and government, including US President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, and over 400 political leaders from around the world, participated, setting a record for the largest attendance of government officials ever. The forum focused on the rapid pace of technological innovation and the responsible use of cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence.
Lunit was selected as a "Technology Pioneer" by the World Economic Forum in 2020, and has been invited to the forum every year since its inaugural event. In 2023, it was designated a "Global Innovator," and in 2024, it became the first global medical AI company to achieve "Associate Partner" status. This marks its third year as an Associate Partner.
At this forum, CEO Seo Beom-seok will meet with government health officials from around the world and leaders from the global medical and pharmaceutical industries to discuss the adoption and utilization of AI in the medical field. The forum will explore the role of medical AI in addressing global healthcare challenges, including early cancer detection, treatment decision-making support, and strengthening public health systems.
CEO Seo Beom-seok stated that the reliability of medical AI and securing clinical evidence are emerging as key concerns for governments and medical institutions around the world, and that he plans to reflect expectations and demands for medical AI in his business strategy based on the global network he has accumulated through the Davos Forum.

世界経済フォーラムは毎年全世界の政治・経済・産業分野の主要人事が集まって国際懸案を議論する年次行事で、今年56回目を迎え「対話の精神(A Spirit of Dialogue)」をテーマに開催された。今回のイベントには約130カ国から3,000人余りの政府および産業界リーダーが参加した。
特にドナルド・トランプ米大統領、エマニュエル・マクロンフランス大統領、マーク・カーニ・カナダ首相など約65人の国家首脳と400人余りの各国政治指導者が参加し、歴代最大規模の政府人事参加記録を立てた。フォーラムでは、革新技術の急速な発展速度とともに、人工知能を含む先進技術の責任ある活用が主要な議題として取り上げられた。

La société Lunit , spécialisée dans l'IA médicale, a annoncé le 20 qu'elle était la première entreprise mondiale d'IA médicale à participer au Forum économique mondial (WEF) qui se tient à Davos, en Suisse, du 19 au 23, pour la quatrième année consécutive.
Le Forum économique mondial est un événement annuel qui réunit des personnalités politiques, économiques et industrielles du monde entier pour débattre des grands enjeux mondiaux. Cette année, pour son 56e anniversaire, le forum s'est tenu sous le thème « Un esprit de dialogue ». Environ 3 000 dirigeants politiques et industriels, représentant près de 130 pays, y ont participé.
À noter que près de 65 chefs d'État et de gouvernement, dont le président américain Donald Trump, le président français Emmanuel Macron et le Premier ministre canadien Mark Carney, ainsi que plus de 400 dirigeants politiques du monde entier, ont participé à cet événement, établissant un record de participation. Le forum a porté sur le rythme rapide de l'innovation technologique et l'utilisation responsable des technologies de pointe, notamment l'intelligence artificielle.
Lunit a été désignée « Pionnière technologique » par le Forum économique mondial en 2020 et est invitée à ce forum chaque année depuis sa création.
