국제아동권리 NGO 세이브더칠드런 대전아동권리센터는 4일 대덕구장애인종합복지관과 함께 2025년 장애아동발달지원사업 수행을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 이번 협약은 대덕구장애인종합복지관에서 진행되었으며, 세이브더칠드런 대전아동권리센터 김태민 센터장과 대덕구장애인종합복지관 서용원 관장을 비롯한 관계자들이 참석했다.
이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 장애아동발달지원사업의 원활한 수행을 위한 협력 구조를 구축했다. 주요 협력 사항으로는 ▲참여 아동 모집 ▲놀이교사 채용 및 파견 ▲소그룹 및 집단 활동 진행 ▲역량 강화 보수 교육 제공 등이 포함된다. 이 사업은 대전시의 장애아동에게 보다 나은 발달 지원을 제공하고, 지역 사회 내에서 장애아동들이 적절한 발달 단계를 거칠 수 있도록 돕는 것을 목표로 한다.
대덕구장애인종합복지관 서용원 관장은 “대전시와 대덕구가 장애인복지관 설립 목적에 맞게 발달장애아동의 생애 주기별 치료를 제공할 수 있는 기회를 얻은 것에 대해 기쁘게 생각한다”면서, “세이브더칠드런과의 협력을 통해 장애아동들이 지역사회에서 전인적인 발달을 이룰 수 있도록 모범 사례를 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.
세이브더칠드런 김태민 대전아동권리센터장은 “대덕구장애인종합복지관과 협력하여 지역의 발달장애아동들이 건강한 성장과 행복한 삶을 지원할 수 있게 되어 기쁘다”며, “발달장애아동들이 타인과의 상호작용을 통해 정서적 교감 능력 및 사회성이 향상되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Save the Children Central Regional Headquarters and Daedeok-gu Disabled Comprehensive Welfare Center Sign Business Agreement
The Save the Children Daejeon Children's Rights Center, an international children's rights NGO, announced on the 4th that it signed a business agreement with the Daedeok-gu Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled to carry out the 2025 Disabled Children's Development Support Project. Daedeok-gu Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled Director Seo Yong-won said, “I am delighted that Daejeon City and Daedeok-gu have the opportunity to provide life-cycle treatment for children with developmental disabilities in line with the purpose of establishing the center for the disabled,” and added, “Through cooperation with Save the Children, we will create model cases so that children with disabilities can achieve holistic development in the community.”
Kim Tae-min, the director of Save the Children’s Daejeon Children’s Rights Center, said, “We are glad to be able to support the healthy growth and happy lives of children with developmental disabilities in the region through cooperation with the Daedeok-gu Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled,” and “We will do our best to help children with developmental disabilities improve their emotional communication skills and sociality through interactions with others.”
