중소벤처기업부(장관 오영주, 이하 중기부)는 7일부터 9일까지 바이오‧헬스 산업의 최신 동향과 정보를 공유하고, 국내외 기업 간 새로운 비즈니스 기회를 창출하기 위해 서울 코엑스에서 개최하는‘BIO KOREA 2025 International Convention(이하 바이오 코리아)’에 중기부에서 지원하는 바이오 분야 초격차 스타트업 24개사가 참가한다고 밝혔다.
바이오코리아는 글로벌 바이오 기업과 투자자 간 기술교류, 전시, 네트워킹, 비즈니스 파트너링 등을 진행하는 대한민국 대표 바이오‧헬스 국제 컨벤션 행사로 한국보건산업진흥원과 충청북도가 주최하고 존슨앤존슨, 화이자 등 국내외 200여개의 바이오기업이 참여한다.
특히 이번 행사에는 국내 최고 수준의 기술을 보유한 의약‧소재 분야 ㈜프리클리나와 의료기기 분야 ㈜셀라메스 등 바이오 초격차 스타트업 24개사가 참여하여, 글로벌 제약회사와 국내외 투자기관 등의 관심을 받았다.
‘초격차 스타트업 1000+ 프로젝트’는 중기부가 국가 경제의 미래를 이끌 바이오‧헬스 등 초격차 10대 분야의 고기술을 보유한 스타트업을 선발하고, 정책 수단을 집중 제공하여 글로벌 진출 기반을 마련하는 사업이다.
중기부는 동 사업을 통해 선정한 바이오‧헬스 분야 118개 초격차 스타트업(’23~현재)에 3년간 최대 6억원의 기술사업화 자금과 2년간 최대 5억원의 R&D 자금, 2년간 10억원 스케일업 자금 등을 직접 지원하고, 정책자금, 보증, 수출바우처 등을 연계 지원하여 육성하고 있다.
이번 바이오 코리아에 참여하는 바이오 초격차 스타트업은 ▲초격차 공동 전시관 ▲한-사우디 협업 워크숍 ▲한-호주 임상세미나 ▲대체시험 상용화 기술 컨퍼런스 ▲인베스트페어 IR 등 다양한 부대행사에 참여하며 주요 내용은 다음과 같다.
◆ 공동 전시관 운영(5.7~5.9)
초격차 스타트업 공동전시관에서 mRNA 기반 백신, 줄기세포 기반 세포 치료제, AI 기반 신약후보물질 개발 등 혁신적인 바이오‧헬스 분야 초격차 스타트업의 시제품과 연구 성과물들을 전시한다.
또한, 전시기간 중에 법률, 투자, 현지시장 전문가 등으로 구성된 글로벌 멘토단이 초격차 스타트업의 글로벌 진출 지원을 위한 해외법인설립, 기술 이전, 투자유치 등 현장 상담을 지원한다.
◆ 한-사우디 협업 워크숍(5.7)
사우디아라비아 투자부와 현지 주요 제약사, 국내 유망 바이오 스타트업 임직원 등 총 150여명이 참석한다. 워크숍은 중기부 임정욱 창업벤처혁신실장의 인사말을 시작으로 사우디 아라비아 투자부 Bader H. Alfaqih Medical Biotech 부장이 ‘사우디 생명공학 비전 2030 육성전략’을 소개하고 한-사우디 바이오 유망 기술간 협업을 위한 토론을 진행한다.
특히, 사우디 투자부의 요청으로, 바이오 의약품 및 바이오 시밀러 등의 제조‧플랜트‧생산 역량을 가진 초격차 스타트업과 기술이전, 투자유치 및 현지진출 등의 협업 방안을 적극 논의한다.
이후에는 ㈜갤럭스 등 양국의 유망 제약‧바이오 기업의 IR 및 사전매칭 된 초격차 기업과 사우디 기관간의 개별 파트너링이 진행된다.
◆ 한-호주 임상세미나(5.8)
호주 빅토리아주, 뉴사우스웨일즈주 주정부와 호주무역투자대표부 등이 공동 개최하는 한-호주 임상시험세미나에서는 호주 임상전문 기관들이 초격차 스타트업 8개사를 비롯한 유망 바이오 스타트업을 대상으로 호주의 임상시험 역량을 소개하며 연구개발 세제 혜택 등 현지 진출을 위한 임상 전략 상담과 기업별 CRO, CDMO 파트너링을 진행한다.
◆ 대체시험 상용화 기술 컨퍼런스(5.9)
‘글로벌 바이오 헬스 시장 진출을 위한 대체 독성 평가 솔루션 개발’ 주제로 컨퍼런스가 개최되며, 큐리바이오 등 유망 바이오 기업들이 최근 동물실험의 윤리적·법적 규제가 강화됨에 따라 새롭게 주목받고 있는 체외 장기 모사 오가노이드, 인공지능 기반 예측 독성평가 모델 등 대체 실험 기술의 글로벌 진출 사례와 전략 등을 발표한다.
특히 ㈜셀라메스는 임피던스 및 국소장 전위분석을 통한 세포 독성 평가와 동물대체시험법 적용사례를, ㈜프리클리나는 인간화 마우스 기반 대체시험 플랫폼 기술을 발표한다.
◆ 인베스트페어(Invest Fair) IR (5.7~5.8)
공식 부대 프로그램으로‘글로벌 바이오시장에서의 지속가능한 성장을 위한 투자 전략’이라는 주제로 개최하며, 에스엠엘바이오팜, 에이피트바이오(주) 등 10개 초격차 스타트업이 영국 SD&K 홀딩스, 싱가포르 CBC 그룹 등 글로벌 투자기관을 대상으로 IR을 진행한다.
임정욱 창업벤처혁신실장은 “최근 미국의 보호무역주의에 따른 공급망 재편 흐름과 관세 등 대외적인 불확실성이 확대되면서, 정부와 기업이 협력하여 글로벌 진출을 전략적으로 추진해야 할 때”라면서 “중기부 역시 AI 등 타 신산업과 융합을 통해 바이오 기술의 고도화 지원과 국외 기관 및 기업, VC와의 글로벌 협업을 지속적으로 추진하여 바이오헬스 분야 스타트업의 글로벌 스케일업을 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Ultra-Gap Startups Participate in ‘Bio Korea 2025’
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Oh Young-joo, hereinafter referred to as MSS) announced that 24 ultra-gap startups in the bio field supported by the MSS will participate in the 'BIO KOREA 2025 International Convention (hereinafter referred to as Bio Korea)' held at COEX in Seoul from the 7th to the 9th to share the latest trends and information in the bio and health industry and create new business opportunities between domestic and foreign companies.
Bio Korea is Korea's representative bio and health international convention event that promotes technology exchange, exhibitions, networking, and business partnering between global bio companies and investors. Hosted by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute and Chungcheongbuk-do, it is attended by approximately 200 domestic and international bio companies, including Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer.
In particular, 24 bio super-gap startups, including Pricklina Co., Ltd. in the pharmaceutical and material field and Cellames Co., Ltd. in the medical device field, which possess the highest level of technology in Korea, participated in this event, attracting the attention of global pharmaceutical companies and domestic and foreign investment organizations.
The 'Super Gap Startup 1000+ Project' is a project where the Ministry of SMEs and Startups selects startups with advanced technologies in 10 super gap fields, such as bio and health, that will lead the future of the national economy, and provides concentrated policy tools to lay the foundation for global expansion.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups is directly supporting 118 ultra-gap startups in the bio and health fields ('23~present) selected through this project with up to 600 million won in technology commercialization funds for 3 years, up to 500 million won in R&D funds for 2 years, and 1 billion won in scale-up funds for 2 years, and is fostering them by linking them with policy funds, guarantees, export vouchers, etc.
The bio super gap startups participating in this Bio Korea will participate in various side events such as ▲Super Gap Joint Exhibition Hall ▲Korea-Saudi Collaborative Workshop ▲Korea-Australia Clinical Seminar ▲Alternative Test Commercialization Technology Conference ▲Invest Fair IR, and the main contents are as follows.
◆ Joint exhibition hall operation (5.7~5.9)
The Super Gap Startup Joint Exhibition Hall will exhibit prototypes and research results of innovative bio/health startups, such as mRNA-based vaccines, stem cell-based cell therapy, and AI-based new drug candidates.
Additionally, during the exhibition period, a global mentoring group comprised of legal, investment, and local market experts will provide on-site consultations on establishing overseas corporations, technology transfer, and attracting investment to support the global expansion of ultra-gap startups.
◆ Korea-Saudi Collaboration Workshop (5.7)
A total of 150 people, including Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment, major local pharmaceutical companies, and promising domestic bio startup executives, will attend the workshop. The workshop will begin with an opening remark by Lim Jeong-wook, Director of the Venture Innovation Office at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, followed by an introduction by Bader H. Alfaqih, Director of Medical Biotech at the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Investment, of the ‘Saudi Biotechnology Vision 2030 Promotion Strategy’ and a discussion on collaboration between promising Korean and Saudi bio technologies.
In particular, at the request of the Saudi Ministry of Investment, we will actively discuss collaboration measures such as technology transfer, investment attraction, and local advancement with ultra-gap startups with manufacturing, plant, and production capabilities for biopharmaceuticals and biosimilars.
Afterwards, IR of promising pharmaceutical and bio companies from both countries, such as Galaxy Co., Ltd., and individual partnering between pre-matched ultra-gap companies and Saudi institutions will be carried out.
◆ Korea-Australia Clinical Seminar (5.8)
The Korea-Australia Clinical Trial Seminar, co-hosted by the Australian governments of Victoria and New South Wales and the Australian Trade and Investment Office, will feature Australian clinical trial specialists introducing Australia’s clinical trial capabilities to promising bio startups, including eight ultra-gap startups, and providing clinical strategy consultations for local advancement, such as R&D tax benefits, and CRO and CDMO partnering for each company.
◆ Alternative Test Commercialization Technology Conference (5.9)
A conference will be held under the theme of 'Development of Alternative Toxicity Assessment Solutions for Entry into the Global Bio-Health Market', and promising bio companies such as Curibio will present global advancement cases and strategies for alternative experimental technologies such as in vitro organ-mimetic organoids and artificial intelligence-based predictive toxicity assessment models, which are attracting new attention due to the strengthening of ethical and legal regulations on animal testing.
In particular, Cellames Co., Ltd. will present cytotoxicity evaluation through impedance and local field potential analysis and application cases of alternative animal testing methods, while Pricklina Co., Ltd. will present alternative testing platform technology based on humanized mice.
◆ Invest Fair IR (5.7~5.8)
The official side program will be held under the theme of 'Investment Strategies for Sustainable Growth in the Global Bio Market', and 10 ultra-gap startups, including SML Biopharm and ApitBio, will conduct IR for global investment institutions such as SD&K Holdings of the UK and CBC Group of Singapore.
Lim Jeong-wook, Director of the Startup Venture Innovation Office, said, “As external uncertainties such as the recent supply chain reorganization due to the U.S. protectionism and tariffs increase, it is time for the government and companies to cooperate to strategically pursue global expansion.” He added, “The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will also actively support the global scale-up of startups in the biohealth field by continuously promoting the advancement of biotechnology through convergence with other new industries such as AI and global collaboration with foreign organizations, companies, and VCs.”

特に、サウジ投資部の要請で、バイオ医薬品及びバイオシミラーなどの製造・プラント・生産能力を持つ超格差スタートアップと技術移転、投資誘致及び現地進出などのコラボレーション案を積極的に議論する。
その後は(株)ギャラックスなど両国の有望制約・バイオ企業のIR及び事前マッチングされた超格差企業とサウジ機関間の個別パートナーリングが行われる。
◆韓-オーストラリア臨床セミナー（5.8）
オーストラリアビクトリア州、ニューサウスウェールズ州州政府とオーストラリア貿易投資代表部などが共同開催する韓-オーストラリア臨床試験セミナーでは、オーストラリア臨床専門機関が超格差スタートアップ8社をはじめとする有望バイオスタートアップを対象にオーストラリアの臨床試験能力を紹介し研究開発企業別CRO、CDMOパートナーリングを進める。
◆代替試験商用化技術カンファレンス（5.9）
「グローバルバイオヘルス市場進出のための代替毒性評価ソリューション開発」のテーマでカンファレンスが開催され、キュリバイオなど有望なバイオ企業が最近、動物実験の倫理的・法的規制が強化され、新たに注目されている体外長期模擬オガノイド、人工知能基盤の予測毒性発表する。
特に(株)セラメスはインピーダンス及び局所腸電位分析による細胞毒性評価と動物代替試験法適用事例を、(株)プリクリナはヒト化マウスベースの代替試験プラットフォーム技術を発表する。
◆インベストフェア（Invest Fair）IR（5.7～5.8）
公式部隊プログラムとして「グローバルバイオ市場での持続可能な成長のための投資戦略」というテーマで開催し、SMエンバイオファーム、エピットバイオ(株)など10の超格差スタートアップがイギリスSD&Kホールディングス、シンガポールCBCグループなどグローバル投資機関を対象にIRを進行する。

中小企业风险投资部（部长吴英珠，以下简称MSS）表示，由MSS支持的24家生物领域超级差距初创企业将参加7日至9日在首尔COEX举行的“BIO KOREA 2025国际会议（以下简称Bio Korea）”，分享生物和健康行业的最新趋势和信息，为国内外企业创造新的商业机会。
Bio Korea是韩国具有代表性的生物与健康国际会议活动，旨在促进全球生物公司和投资者之间的技术交流、展览、交流和商业合作。该展会由韩国保健产业振兴院和忠清北道主办，约有200家国内外生物企业参加，其中包括强生和辉瑞。

◆ 联合展馆运营（5.7~5.9）
超级差距初创企业联合展厅将展示创新生物/健康初创企业的原型和研究成果，例如基于mRNA的疫苗、基于干细胞的细胞疗法以及基于AI的新药候选物。
此外，展会期间，由法律、投资、当地市场专家组成的全球指导团将就设立海外公司、技术转移、招商引资等提供现场咨询，支持超高净值初创企业的全球扩张。
◆韩国-沙特合作研讨会（5.7）
沙特投资部、当地主要制药公司、国内有前景的生物初创公司高管和员工等共计150人将出席。研讨会将以中小企业和初创企业部创业创新办公室主任林正旭的开幕致辞开始，随后沙特阿拉伯投资部医学生物技术总监 Bader H. Alfaqih 将介绍“沙特生物技术愿景 2030 推广战略”，并讨论韩国和沙特有前景的生物技术之间的合作。
特别是，我们将根据沙特投资部的要求，与拥有生物制药和生物仿制药制造、工厂和生产能力的超差距初创企业积极讨论技术转让、吸引投资和本地发展等合作措施。
随后，将对Galaxy株式会社等两国有前景的制药、生物企业进行IR，以及预先匹配的超差距企业与沙特机构进行个别合作。
◆韩澳临床研讨会（5.8）
韩国-澳大利亚临床试验研讨会由维多利亚州和新南威尔士州政府以及澳大利亚贸易投资办公室联合主办，澳大利亚临床试验专家将向有前途的生物初创公司（包括八家超差距初创公司）介绍澳大利亚的临床试验能力，并为当地发展提供临床战略咨询，例如研发税收优惠以及为每家公司建立 CRO 和 CDMO 合作伙伴关系。
◆替代测试商业化技术会议（5.9）
本次会议的主题为“开发替代性毒性评估解决方案，进军全球生物健康市场”，Curibio等前景光明的生物企业将展示体外模拟器官类器官和基于人工智能的预测毒性评估模型等替代性实验技术的全球推进案例和战略。这些技术因动物试验伦理和法律规定的加强而受到新的关注。
其中，Cellames株式会社将展示通过阻抗和局部场电位分析进行细胞毒性评价以及替代动物测试方法的应用案例，Pricklina株式会社将展示基于人源化小鼠的替代测试平台技术。
◆投资公平IR（5.7~5.8）
官方配套活动将以“全球生物市场可持续增长的投资战略”为主题，SML Biopharm、ApitBio等10家超高净值初创企业将面向英国SD&K Holdings、新加坡CBC Group等全球投资机构进行IR。
创业企业创新办公室主任林正旭表示，“近期美国保护主义和关税引发的供应链重组等外部不确定性增加，政府和企业需要加强合作，战略性地推进全球扩张。”他补充道：“中小企业和初创企业部还将积极支持生物健康领域初创企业的全球扩张，通过与人工智能等其他新兴产业的融合以及与外国组织、公司和风险投资公司的全球合作，不断推动生物技术的进步。”

Le ministère des PME et des startups (ministre Oh Young-joo, ci-après dénommé MSS) a annoncé que 24 startups ultra-gap dans le domaine de la bio soutenu par le MSS participeront à la « Convention internationale BIO KOREA 2025 (ci-après dénommée Bio Korea) » qui se tiendra au COEX à Séoul du 7 au 9 pour partager les dernières tendances et informations dans l'industrie de la bio et de la santé et créer de nouvelles opportunités commerciales entre les entreprises nationales et étrangères.

◆ Exploitation conjointe de salles d'exposition (5,7~5,9)
Le Super Gap Startup Joint Exhibition Hall présentera des prototypes et des résultats de recherche de startups innovantes en bio/santé, telles que des vaccins à base d'ARNm, une thérapie cellulaire à base de cellules souches et de nouveaux candidats médicaments basés sur l'IA.
De plus, pendant la période d'exposition, un groupe de mentorat mondial composé d'experts juridiques, d'investissement et du marché local fournira des consultations sur place sur la création de sociétés à l'étranger, le transfert de technologie et l'attraction d'investissements pour soutenir l'expansion mondiale des startups ultra-gap.
◆ Atelier de collaboration Corée-Arabie saoudite (5.7)
Au total, 150 personnes, dont le ministère saoudien de l'Investissement, les principales sociétés pharmaceutiques locales et les dirigeants et employés de start-ups bio nationales prometteuses, y participeront. L'atelier débutera par un discours d'ouverture de Lim Jeong-wook, directeur du Startup Venture Innovation Office au ministère des PME et des startups, suivi d'une introduction de Bader H. En particulier, à la demande du ministère saoudien de l'Investissement, nous discuterons activement de mesures de collaboration telles que le transfert de technologie, l'attraction d'investissements et le développement local avec des startups ultra-gap dotées de capacités de fabrication, d'usine et de production de produits biopharmaceutiques et biosimilaires.
Par la suite, des relations avec des sociétés pharmaceutiques et biologiques prometteuses des deux pays, telles que Galaxy Co., Ltd., ainsi que des partenariats individuels entre des sociétés ultra-gap pré-appariées et des institutions saoudiennes seront réalisés.
◆ Séminaire clinique Corée-Australie (5.8)
Le séminaire sur les essais cliniques Corée-Australie, organisé conjointement par les gouvernements australiens de Victoria et de Nouvelle-Galles du Sud et le Bureau australien du commerce et de l'investissement, réunira des spécialistes australiens des essais cliniques qui présenteront les capacités d'essais cliniques de l'Australie à des startups bio prometteuses, dont huit startups ultra-gap, et fourniront des consultations en stratégie clinique pour l'avancement local, telles que les avantages fiscaux en matière de R&D et les partenariats CRO et CDMO pour chaque entreprise.
◆ Conférence sur les technologies de commercialisation des tests alternatifs (5.9)
Une conférence aura lieu sous le thème « Développement de solutions alternatives d'évaluation de la toxicité pour l'entrée sur le marché mondial de la bio-santé », et des entreprises bio prometteuses telles que Curibio présenteront des cas et des stratégies d'avancement mondial pour des technologies expérimentales alternatives telles que les organoïdes mimétiques d'organes in vitro et les modèles d'évaluation prédictive de la toxicité basés sur l'intelligence artificielle, qui attirent une nouvelle attention en raison du renforcement des réglementations éthiques et juridiques sur les tests sur les animaux.
En particulier, Cellames Co., Ltd. présentera une évaluation de la cytotoxicité par analyse d'impédance et de potentiel de champ local et des cas d'application de méthodes alternatives de tests sur les animaux, tandis que Pricklina Co., Ltd. présentera une technologie de plate-forme de test alternative basée sur des souris humanisées.
◆ Investir Fair IR (5,7~5,8)
Le programme parallèle officiel se déroulera sous le thème « Stratégies d'investissement pour une croissance durable sur le marché mondial de la biotechnologie », et 10 startups ultra-gap, dont SML Biopharm et ApitBio, réaliseront des IR pour des institutions d'investissement mondiales telles que SD&K Holdings du Royaume-Uni et CBC Group de Singapour.
Lim Jeong-wook, directeur du Startup Venture Innovation Office, a déclaré : « Alors que les incertitudes externes telles que la récente réorganisation de la chaîne d'approvisionnement due au protectionnisme et aux tarifs douaniers américains augmentent, il est temps pour le gouvernement et les entreprises de coopérer pour poursuivre stratégiquement l'expansion mondiale. » Il a ajouté : « Le ministère des PME et des startups soutiendra également activement l'expansion mondiale des startups dans le domaine de la biosanté en promouvant continuellement l'avancement de la biotechnologie par la convergence avec d'autres nouvelles industries telles que l'IA et la collaboration mondiale avec des organisations, des entreprises et des capital-risqueurs étrangers. »
