IT 보안·인증 플랫폼 기업 라온시큐어는 펫테크 기업 우연컴퍼니와 ‘반려동물 디지털 신원증명 및 증명발급 사업’에 관한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 협약식은 서울 여의도 라온시큐어 본사에서 진행됐다.
이번 협약을 통해 양사는 라온시큐어의 블록체인 기반 디지털 ID 플랫폼 ‘옴니원 디지털아이디(OmniOne Digital ID)’를 활용해 반려동물의 디지털 신원 인증 및 증명 발급 서비스를 공동으로 개발·운영할 계획이다. 이와 함께 블록체인 기술을 기반으로 한 디지털 배지 서비스 ‘옴니원 배지(OmniOne Badge)’를 적용, 반려동물 관련 자격·인증 정보를 제공하는 인프라도 구축한다.
우연컴퍼니는 반려동물 인증과 데이터 기반 서비스를 제공하는 펫테크 기업으로, 반려동물 신원 등록 및 활용이 가능한 ‘닥터 클루니(Dr. Clooney)’ 플랫폼을 운영 중이다. 현재 다양한 기업 및 기관과 협력해 반려동물 인증 관련 서비스를 확대하고 있다.
이번 협력을 통해 양사는 반려동물 보호자와 반려동물이 디지털 인증 수단을 통해 전국 17개 지자체 반려동물 놀이터 출입, 상품 구독 서비스, 보험 가입 등 다양한 연계 서비스를 이용할 수 있도록 지원할 방침이다.
라온시큐어의 ‘옴니원 디지털아이디’는 블록체인 기술을 기반으로 한 신원 및 자격 인증 플랫폼으로, 서비스형 소프트웨어(SaaS) 형태로 제공된다. 현재 국내 다수의 교육기관 및 협회에서 학생증, 국제학생증, 민간자격증 등 다양한 형태의 디지털 신분증 발급에 활용되고 있다.
‘옴니원 배지’는 위·변조 방지 기능을 갖춘 디지털 자격증명 서비스로, 교육, 채용, 인증 등 다양한 분야에서 활용 사례를 확대해 나가고 있다.
라온시큐어 박종문 서비스사업본부장은 “이번 협약을 통해 디지털 ID 기술의 활용 범위를 동물 인증 분야로 확장하게 됐다”며 “디지털 인증 인프라를 기반으로 사회 전반의 인증 생태계 혁신에 기여하겠다”고 밝혔다.
