AI 클라우드 전문기업 ㈜클라이온은 전남이민외국인종합지원센터와 AI 통역 솔루션 ‘LXHUB’를 기반으로 외국인 상담지원 서비스 도입을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 14일 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 클라이온이 자체 개발한 RAG(검색증강생성, Retrieval-Augmented Generation) 기반 AI 통역 솔루션 ‘LXHUB(Linguistic Exchange Hub)’를 활용해 전라남도 내 외국인 주민들의 언어 장벽을 완화하고 행정 정보 접근성을 제고하기 위한 목적으로 추진됐다. 이를 통해 외국인 주민의 지역사회 적응 및 공공 서비스 이용 편의성을 높인다는 계획이다.
협약에 따라 양측은 ▲센터 방문자를 대상으로 한 AI 통역 서비스 시범 운영 ▲LXHUB의 안정적인 운영 환경 조성 ▲외국인 상담 지원을 위한 관련 정보 및 데이터 공유 등에 협력할 예정이다. 시범 서비스는 오는 2025년 하반기부터 본격적으로 운영될 예정이다.
김일수 전남이민외국인종합지원센터장은 “이번 협약을 통해 외국인 주민들이 언어 장벽 없이 행정 서비스를 이용할 수 있도록 지원하고, 지역사회 정착을 위한 기반을 마련하겠다”고 밝혔다.
박윤지 클라이온 대표는 “LXHUB는 실제 현장에서 발생하는 언어 소통 문제를 실질적으로 해결하는 AI 솔루션”이라며 “향후 더 많은 지자체 및 기관과 협력해 공공 영역의 언어 격차 해소에 기여하겠다”고 말했다.

Claion and Jeonnam Immigration and Foreigner Comprehensive Support Center Sign Business Agreement
AI cloud specialist Klaion Co., Ltd. announced on the 14th that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Jeonnam Immigration and Foreigner Comprehensive Support Center to introduce a foreigner consultation support service based on the AI interpretation solution 'LXHUB'.
This agreement was promoted with the purpose of alleviating language barriers for foreign residents in Jeollanam-do and improving accessibility to administrative information by utilizing 'LXHUB (Linguistic Exchange Hub),' an AI interpretation solution based on RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) developed by Klaion. The plan is to increase the convenience of foreign residents' adaptation to the local community and use of public services.
According to the agreement, both parties will cooperate in ▲ pilot operation of AI interpretation services for center visitors ▲ creation of a stable operating environment for LXHUB ▲ sharing of related information and data to support consultation for foreigners. The pilot service is scheduled to be fully operated from the second half of 2025.
Kim Il-soo, the director of the Jeonnam Immigration and Foreigner Support Center, said, “Through this agreement, we will support foreign residents to use administrative services without language barriers and lay the foundation for settling down in the local community.”
Park Yoon-ji, CEO of Claion, said, “LXHUB is an AI solution that practically solves language communication problems that occur in real-world settings,” and added, “We will work with more local governments and organizations in the future to contribute to eliminating the language gap in the public sector.”

今回の条約は、クライオンが自ら開発したRAG(検索増強生成、Retrieval-Augmented Generation)ベースのAI通訳ソリューション「LXHUB(Linguistic Exchange Hub)」を活用して全羅南道内の外国人住民の言語障壁を緩和し、行政情報のアクセス性を高めるための目的で推進された。これを通じて外国人住民の地域社会適応及び公共サービス利用の利便性を高めるという計画だ。
条約により、両側は▲センター訪問者を対象としたAI通訳サービスのデモンストレーション運営▲LXHUBの安定的な運営環境づくり▲外国人相談支援のための関連情報やデータ共有などに協力する予定だ。パイロットサービスは来る2025年下半期から本格的に運営される予定だ。
キム・イルス全南移民外国人総合支援センター長は「今回の協約を通じて外国人住民が言語障壁なしで行政サービスを利用できるよう支援し、地域社会定着のための基盤を設ける」と明らかにした。
パク・ユンジ・クライオン代表は「LXHUBは実際の現場で発生する言語コミュニケーション問題を実質的に解決するAIソリューション」とし「今後より多くの自治体や機関と協力して公共領域の言語格差解消に寄与する」と述べた。
