업비트 운영사 두나무(대표 오경석)는 사회복지공동모금회 사랑의열매(회장 김병준)와 디지털 자산 기반 기부 문화 활성화를 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 20일 밝혔다.
협약식은 지난 19일 서울 중구 사랑의열매 회관에서 열렸으며, 양 기관 대표를 포함한 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.
이번 협약은 비영리 법인의 디지털 자산 시장 참여 확대에 대응하고, 기부 방식의 디지털 전환을 준비하기 위한 차원에서 추진됐다. 최근 금융당국은 법인의 디지털 자산 시장 참여 로드맵을 발표하고, 비영리 법인을 포함한 다양한 법인의 계좌 개설을 허용하고 있다.
협약에 따라 양측은 디지털 자산 기부 환경 조성을 위한 공동 노력을 이어갈 예정이다. 사랑의열매는 비영리 법인의 디지털 자산 계좌 개설 및 내부통제 기준 마련을 추진하며, 업비트는 관련 법률 자문 및 교육 프로그램 등을 통해 지원할 계획이다. 또한 블록체인 기술을 기반으로 한 사회공헌 활동 발굴에도 협력할 예정이다.
업비트는 국내 최대 규모의 가상자산 거래소로, 기술력과 보안 역량을 바탕으로 디지털 자산 시장에서의 신뢰 제고에 주력하고 있다. 사랑의열매는 국세청 공시 기준, 기업 및 개인 기부금으로 운영되는 공익법인 가운데 가장 큰 규모의 단체다.
업비트는 이번 협약 이전에도 디지털 자산을 활용한 기부 활동을 진행한 바 있다. 지난 7월에는 집중 호우 피해 복구를 위해 비트코인 5BTC(약 8억 원 상당)를 사랑의열매에 기부했으며, 사랑의열매는 이를 현금화해 활용했다. 또한 사랑의열매는 2021년 법정기부금 단체 최초로 디지털 자산 기부를 수용하고, NFT(대체불가능토큰) 기반 나눔 캠페인을 운영하는 등 디지털 기술을 활용한 사회공헌 활동을 추진하고 있다.
두나무 오경석 대표는 “기술을 통한 나눔의 확장은 디지털 시대의 새로운 공익 모델이 될 수 있다”며, “디지털 자산이 미래 세대를 위한 지속 가능한 기부 수단으로 자리 잡을 수 있도록 다양한 가능성을 모색하겠다”고 밝혔다.
사랑의열매 김병준 회장은 “디지털 자산 기부는 공감과 확산 가능성이 높은 새로운 사회공헌 방식”이라며, “업비트와의 협력을 통해 나눔 문화의 디지털 전환을 선도하겠다”고 전했다.

Love Fruit Signs Business Agreement with Doonamu
Upbit operator Dunamu (CEO Oh Kyung-seok) announced on the 20th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Community Chest of Korea Love Fruit (Chairman Kim Byeong-jun) to promote a digital asset-based donation culture.
The signing ceremony was held on the 19th at the Love Fruit Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul, with representatives from both organizations and other related parties in attendance.
This agreement was initiated to address the growing participation of non-profit organizations in the digital asset market and to prepare for the digital transformation of donation methods. Financial authorities recently announced a roadmap for corporate participation in the digital asset market and are now allowing various entities, including non-profits, to open accounts.
Under the agreement, both parties will continue their joint efforts to foster a conducive environment for digital asset donations. Love Fruit will promote the establishment of digital asset accounts for non-profit organizations and the establishment of internal control standards, while Upbit will provide support through legal advice and educational programs. They will also collaborate on identifying social contribution activities based on blockchain technology.
Upbit, Korea's largest virtual asset exchange, focuses on building trust in the digital asset market through its technological prowess and security capabilities. According to National Tax Service disclosures, Love Fruit is the largest public interest corporation funded by corporate and individual donations.
Upbit has previously engaged in donation activities utilizing digital assets prior to this agreement. In July, it donated 5 BTC (approximately 800 million won) to Love Fruit to support recovery efforts following heavy rains. Love Fruit then cashed out the donation. Furthermore, Love Fruit became the first legally recognized charity organization to accept digital asset donations in 2021 and is actively pursuing social contribution activities utilizing digital technology, such as operating a non-fungible token (NFT)-based sharing campaign.
Doonamu CEO Oh Kyung-seok said, “Expanding sharing through technology can become a new public service model in the digital age,” and added, “We will explore various possibilities to ensure that digital assets can become a sustainable means of giving for future generations.”
Kim Byung-jun, Chairman of Love Fruit, said, “Digital asset donation is a new form of social contribution with high potential for empathy and expansion,” and added, “Through our collaboration with Upbit, we will lead the digital transformation of the culture of sharing.”

アップビット運営会社ドゥナム（代表オ・ギョンソク）は、社会福祉共同募金会愛の実（会長キム・ビョンジュン）とデジタル資産基盤寄付文化活性化のための業務協約（MOU）を締結したと20日明らかにした。

アップビットは今回の条約以前にもデジタル資産を活用した寄付活動を行った。去る7月には集中豪雨被害復旧のためにビットコイン5BTC(約8億ウォン相当)を愛の実に寄付し、愛の実はこれを現金化して活用した。また、愛の実は2021年法定寄付団体最初にデジタル資産寄付を受け入れ、NFT(代替不可能トークン)ベースの分け合いキャンペーンを運営するなど、デジタル技術を活用した社会貢献活動を推進している。
桃のオ・ギョンソク代表は「技術による分かち合いの拡張はデジタル時代の新しい公益モデルになることができる」とし、「デジタル資産が未来世代のための持続可能な寄付手段として位置づけることができるように多様な可能性を模索する」と明らかにした。

L'opérateur Upbit Dunamu (PDG Oh Kyung-seok) a annoncé le 20 qu'il avait signé un protocole d'accord avec la Community Chest of Korea Love Fruit (Président Kim Byeong-jun) pour promouvoir une culture du don basée sur les actifs numériques.
La cérémonie de signature s'est tenue le 19 au Love Fruit Hall, dans le quartier de Jung-gu à Séoul, en présence de représentants des deux organisations et d'autres parties prenantes.
Cet accord a été mis en place pour accompagner la participation croissante des organisations à but non lucratif au marché des actifs numériques et préparer la transformation numérique des méthodes de don. En juillet, la société a fait don de 5 BTC (environ 800 millions de wons) à Love Fruit pour soutenir les efforts de reconstruction suite aux fortes pluies. Love Fruit a ensuite encaissé ce don. Par ailleurs, Love Fruit est devenue la première organisation caritative légalement reconnue à accepter des dons en actifs numériques en 2021 et poursuit activement des actions de contribution sociale grâce aux technologies numériques, notamment par le biais d'une campagne de partage de jetons non fongibles (NFT).
Le PDG de Doonamu, Oh Kyung-seok, a déclaré : « Développer le partage grâce à la technologie peut devenir un nouveau modèle de service public à l'ère numérique », et a ajouté : « Nous explorerons diverses possibilités pour faire en sorte que les actifs numériques puissent devenir un moyen durable de transmission aux générations futures. »
Kim Byung-jun, président de Love Fruit, a déclaré : « Le don d'actifs numériques est une nouvelle forme de contribution sociale à fort potentiel d'empathie et d'expansion », et a ajouté : « Grâce à notre collaboration avec Upbit, nous mènerons la transformation numérique de la culture du partage. »
