도큐먼트(Document) AI 전문기업 로민(대표 강지홍)은 27일 IT 서비스 기업 코오롱베니트와 전략적 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하고, ‘코오롱베니트 AI 얼라이언스’에 공식 합류했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 생성형 AI 확산에 따라 산업 전반에서 비정형 문서 데이터의 활용 수요가 높아지는 가운데, 양사의 기술과 인프라를 결합해 문서 기반 AI 솔루션의 확산을 공동으로 추진하기 위한 목적이다.
로민은 비정형 문서 데이터를 정형화된 AI 학습 데이터로 전환하는 기술에 특화된 기업으로, 자체 개발한 VLM 기반 AI OCR, 고성능 문서 파서, 문서 특화 RAG 플랫폼 등을 포함한 문서 AI 플랫폼 ‘텍스트스코프(Textscope®)’를 보유하고 있다. 해당 기술은 금융, 공공 등 문서 처리 복잡도가 높은 분야에서 활용되고 있다.
이번 협약을 통해 로민은 코오롱베니트의 30여 년 IT 유통 경험과 1천여 개 고객사 네트워크를 바탕으로 텍스트스코프의 공급 채널을 확장할 수 있는 기반을 마련했다. 코오롱베니트는 다양한 산업군에 걸친 도입 경험을 바탕으로 로민 솔루션의 상용화를 지원할 예정이다.
양사는 이번 협약 이후 공동 마케팅을 포함한 협력 범위를 점진적으로 확대하고, 문서 AI 기술의 산업 적용 확대를 위한 전략적 협업을 이어갈 계획이다.
강지홍 로민 대표는 “AI 얼라이언스를 통한 산업 간 연결 확대는 문서 AI 기술의 실효적 활용 사례를 늘리는 데 중요한 계기가 될 것”이라며 “파트너사와의 협력을 통해 문서 업무 혁신을 함께 추진하겠다”고 말했다.

Document AI specialist Romin (CEO Ji-Hong Kang) announced on the 27th that it signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with IT service company Kolon Benit and officially joined the 'Kolon Benit AI Alliance'.
This agreement aims to jointly promote the expansion of document-based AI solutions by combining the technologies and infrastructure of both companies, amidst the growing demand for the use of unstructured document data across industries due to the spread of generative AI.
Romin specializes in transforming unstructured document data into structured AI learning data. Its document AI platform, Textscope®, includes proprietary VLM-based AI OCR, a high-performance document parser, and a document-specific RAG platform. This technology is utilized in fields with high document processing complexity, such as finance and the public sector.
Through this agreement, Romin has established a foundation for expanding TextScope's supply channels, leveraging Kolon Benit's 30 years of IT distribution experience and network of over 1,000 customers. Kolon Benit plans to support the commercialization of Romin's solutions, leveraging its experience in implementation across diverse industries.
Following this agreement, the two companies plan to gradually expand the scope of their cooperation, including joint marketing, and continue strategic collaboration to expand the industrial application of document AI technology.
