벤처기업협회(회장 송병준)는 민간 벤처투자 저변확대를 위해 ‘벤처·스타트업 LP 아카데미’를 신설하고, 제1기 참가자를 모집한다고 29일 밝혔다.
이번 교육과정은 전문성을 갖춘 민간 LP(전문유한책임투자자)와 엔젤투자자를 체계적으로 양성해, 위축된 벤처투자 시장에 활력을 불어넣고 투자 기반을 넓히며 건전한 투자 생태계를 확대하는 것을 목표로 한다.
커리큘럼은 ▲벤처투자 구조 이해 ▲법·제도 및 세제 혜택 ▲투자 실무와 사례 분석 ▲선배 LP 특강 등 투자 결정에 필요한 핵심 역량을 중심으로 구성됐다.
참가자들은 출자 제안서 작성, 모의 투자심사위원회 등 실습 과정을 통해 투자 프로세스 전반을 직접 경험하게 된다.
특히 본 과정의 가장 큰 특징은 현직 벤처캐피탈(VC) 심사역과의 긴밀한 연계다. 매주 현직 심사역이 교육에 직접 참여해 투자 유치 기준과 과정에 대한 생생한 피드백을 제공하고, 실질적인 네트워킹 기회를 마련한다. 이를 통해 교육이 단순한 학습을 넘어 실제 투자 실행으로 이어질 수 있는 구조를 갖췄다.
교육 수료생들은 ‘LP Club’ 알럼나이 커뮤니티를 통해 정기적인 공동출자 설명회(IR)와 네트워킹 행사에 참여하게 된다. 이를 통해 단발성 교육을 넘어 지속 가능한 민간 출자자 네트워크의 구심점 역할을 할 예정이다.
협회 관계자는 “최근 벤처투자 시장이 위축된 상황에서 전문 LP 풀(pool)의 확대는 벤처・스타트업 투자 활성화의 핵심 열쇠”라며 “LP 아카데미를 통해 민간 중심의 벤처투자 참여층을 넓히고 지속 가능한 투자 환경을 만들어 나가겠다”고 강조했다.

Each week, current appraisers participate in the training, providing vivid feedback on investment attraction criteria and processes and providing practical networking opportunities. This structure ensures that the training goes beyond mere learning and leads to actual investment execution.
Graduates will participate in regular investor relations (IR) briefings and networking events through the "LP Club" alumni community. This will go beyond one-off training sessions and serve as a focal point for a sustainable private investor network.
An association official emphasized, “In a situation where the venture investment market has recently shrunk, expanding the pool of professional LPs is a key to revitalizing venture and startup investment,” and “Through the LP Academy, we will expand the private sector-centered venture investment participation base and create a sustainable investment environment.”
