인공지능(AI) 기반 영상진단의료기기 전문기업 에스지헬스케어는 우즈베키스탄에 17억 원 규모의 의료기기를 추가로 공급하는 계약을 체결했다고 1일 공시했다.
이번 계약은 지난 6월 체결한 126억 원 규모의 공급 계약에 이은 후속 수주로, 이동형 엑스레이 투시장치 ‘가리온(GARION)’의 성능이 현지 의료기관 및 정부로부터 긍정적인 평가를 받은 데 따른 것으로 알려졌다.
‘가리온’은 C자 형태의 이동형 X-ray 장비로, 12인치 평판디스플레이(FPD)를 탑재해 고해상도 실시간 영상 출력이 가능하다. 해당 장비에는 한국과학기술원(KAIST)과 공동 개발한 AI 기반 디노이징(Denoising) 기술이 적용되어 영상 품질 향상과 동시에 방사선 피폭량을 낮춘 것이 특징이다. 해당 제품은 2022년 미국 FDA 510(k) 인증도 취득했다.
에스지헬스케어 측은 “이번 수주는 앞서 납품된 제품의 성능과 품질에 대한 우즈베키스탄 정부의 신뢰를 바탕으로 성사됐다”고 설명했다. 이어 “AI 기술을 접목한 영상진단 장비가 현지에서 경쟁력을 입증함에 따라, 향후 독립국가연합(CIS) 지역을 포함한 해외 시장에서의 추가 수출 가능성도 확대될 것으로 기대된다”고 밝혔다.
이번 계약으로 에스지헬스케어는 하반기 실적 개선의 발판도 마련했다. 회사는 ‘가리온’을 비롯해 AI 가속 솔루션이 적용된 자기공명영상장치(MRI) ‘인빅터스(INVICTUS)’, 컴퓨터단층촬영(CT) 장비 ‘도미너스(DOMINUS)’ 등 고부가가치 의료기기의 글로벌 수요가 이어지고 있어 실적 반등이 가능할 것으로 전망하고 있다.
김정수 에스지헬스케어 대표는 “AI 기술이 진단 정확도와 효율성에 미치는 영향이 커지고 있는 가운데, ‘가리온’은 당사의 기술력을 집약한 장비”라며 “지속적인 연구개발을 통해 AI 기반 의료기기 분야에서 글로벌 시장 경쟁력을 강화해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

SG Healthcare Signs Additional Medical Device Supply Agreement with Uzbekistan
SG Healthcare , a company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI)-based imaging diagnostic medical devices, announced on the 1st that it has signed a contract to supply an additional 1.7 billion won worth of medical devices to Uzbekistan.
This contract is a follow-up to the 12.6 billion won supply contract signed in June, and is said to be a result of the positive evaluation of the performance of the mobile X-ray fluoroscopy device 'GARION' from local medical institutions and the government.
"Garion" is a C-shaped mobile X-ray device equipped with a 12-inch flat panel display (FPD) capable of outputting high-resolution, real-time images. The device features AI-based denoising technology, jointly developed with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), which improves image quality while simultaneously reducing radiation exposure. The product also received US FDA 510(k) clearance in 2022.
SG Healthcare explained, "This order was secured based on the Uzbek government's confidence in the performance and quality of previously delivered products." They added, "As our AI-powered imaging diagnostic equipment demonstrates its competitiveness locally, we anticipate expanding our export potential to overseas markets, including the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region."
This contract also sets the stage for SG Healthcare to improve its performance in the second half of the year. The company anticipates a rebound in performance, fueled by continued global demand for high-value-added medical devices, including the Garion, the Invictus magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) device featuring AI acceleration solutions, and the Dominus computed tomography (CT) device.

今回の契約でエスジヘルスケアは下半期実績改善の足場も設けた。同社は「ガリオン」をはじめ、AI加速ソリューションが適用された磁気共鳴映像装置（MRI）「インビクターズ（INVICTUS）」、コンピュータ断層撮影（CT）装備「ドミナス（DOMINUS）」など高付加価値の医療機器のグローバル需要が続いており、実績の反騰が可能だと見込んでいる。

SG Healthcare , une société spécialisée dans les dispositifs médicaux de diagnostic d'imagerie basés sur l'intelligence artificielle (IA), a annoncé le 1er qu'elle avait signé un contrat pour fournir à l'Ouzbékistan des dispositifs médicaux supplémentaires d'une valeur de 1,7 milliard de wons.
Ce contrat fait suite au contrat de fourniture de 12,6 milliards de wons signé en juin et serait le résultat de l'évaluation positive des performances de l'appareil de fluoroscopie mobile à rayons X « GARION » par les institutions médicales locales et le gouvernement.
« Garion » est un appareil de radiographie mobile en forme de C, équipé d'un écran plat de 12 pouces capable d'afficher des images haute résolution en temps réel. Cet appareil intègre une technologie de débruitage basée sur l'intelligence artificielle, développée en collaboration avec le Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), qui améliore la qualité d'image tout en réduisant l'exposition aux radiations. Le produit a également reçu l'autorisation 510(k) de la FDA américaine en 2022.
SG Healthcare a expliqué : « Cette commande a été obtenue grâce à la confiance du gouvernement ouzbek dans la performance et la qualité des produits précédemment livrés. » L’entreprise a ajouté : « Alors que notre équipement de diagnostic par imagerie basé sur l’IA démontre sa compétitivité sur le marché local, nous prévoyons d’étendre notre potentiel d’exportation aux marchés étrangers, notamment à la Communauté des États indépendants (CEI). »
