프롭테크 기업 핸디즈와 서울시니어스타워가 액티브 시니어 시대에 대응하기 위한 전략적 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 8일 밝혔다. 이번 협약은 고령화 사회에 발맞춰 은퇴 후에도 활기찬 삶을 추구하는 액티브 시니어를 위한 다양한 사업을 공동 추진하는 데 목적이 있다.
협약식은 지난주 서울 강남구 핸디즈 사옥에서 진행됐으며, 양사는 전북 고창에서 새롭게 조성 중인 ‘리타이어먼트 빌리지’ 입주 회원들에게 핸디즈 멤버십을 제공하기로 했다. 이에 따라 해당 회원들은 핸디즈가 운영하는 전국 27개 지점 약 3,800실 규모의 숙박시설 ‘어반스테이’에서 할인 혜택을 받게 된다. 양사는 또한 신규 오픈하는 객실과 시설에 대해서도 협력을 이어갈 계획이다.
핸디즈는 자체 개발한 자산관리시스템(PMS)을 기반으로 다이렉트 체크인, 스마트 프라이싱 등 기술을 도입하며 국내 숙박업계에서 프롭테크 혁신을 선도하고 있다. 서울시니어스타워는 1998년 설립 이후 전국에서 1,600세대 규모의 실버타운을 운영하며 휴양, 의료, 돌봄 등 종합 시니어 서비스를 제공하는 기업이다.
핸디즈 정승호 대표는 “서울시니어스타워와의 협력을 통해 혁신적인 기술과 운영 노하우를 결합, 시니어 주거 시장에 새로운 패러다임을 제시할 것”이라고 말했다. 서울시니어스타워 이종균 대표는 “30년간의 운영 경험과 핸디즈의 기술력이 만나 액티브 시니어에게 향상된 주거 모델을 제공할 것으로 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

The signing ceremony took place last week at the Handys headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and the two companies agreed to offer Handys memberships to residents of the newly developed "Retirement Village" in Gochang, North Jeolla Province. As a result, these members will receive discounts at "Urban Stay," a nationwide accommodation facility operated by Handys with approximately 3,800 rooms across 27 locations. The two companies also plan to continue their collaboration on newly opened rooms and facilities.
Handys is leading proptech innovation in the domestic lodging industry by introducing technologies like direct check-in and smart pricing based on its proprietary property management system (PMS). Founded in 1998, Seoul Senior Tower operates 1,600-unit senior centers nationwide, offering comprehensive senior services including recreation, medical care, and caregiving.
Handyz CEO Jeong Seung-ho stated, "Through our collaboration with Seoul Senior Tower, we will combine innovative technology and operational expertise to present a new paradigm in the senior housing market."
