의료 인공지능(AI) 기업 루닛(대표 서범석)은 프랑스 공공병원 구매협동조합인 유니하(UniHA)의 유방암 진단 AI 솔루션 입찰에서 공급업체로 선정됐다고 11일 밝혔다.
유니하는 1,500개 이상의 공립병원과 130개 이상의 지역병원 연합체를 대상으로 의료기기 구매를 담당하는 프랑스 최대 공공의료 구매협동조합이다. 이번 입찰은 회원 병원들의 유방암 검진에 활용할 AI 솔루션 공동구매를 위해 진행됐다.
루닛은 이번 계약을 통해 유방촬영술 AI 솔루션 ‘루닛 인사이트 MMG’, 3차원 유방단층촬영술 AI 솔루션 ‘루닛 인사이트 DBT’를 비롯해 자회사 볼파라(Volpara)의 유방촬영영상 품질관리 솔루션 ‘볼파라 애널리틱스’와 실시간 영상 품질 피드백 솔루션 ‘볼파라 라이브’ 등을 공급하게 된다. 이에 따라 유니하 회원 병원들은 별도의 입찰 절차 없이 글로벌 의료영상장비 제조사인 후지필름(Fujifilm)을 통해 루닛 그룹의 솔루션을 도입할 수 있다.
유니하 바이오메디컬 프로그램 책임자 베르트랑 르파주(Bertrand Lepage)는 “회원 의료기관들의 유방촬영술 AI 솔루션 수요 증가에 따라 엄격한 기술 기준을 적용한 입찰을 진행했다”며 “공공 의료기관이 민간병원과 동등한 조건에서 최고 수준의 기술을 도입할 수 있도록 하는 것이 목표”라고 밝혔다.
서범석 루닛 대표는 “이번 계약으로 프랑스 전역 공립병원에 대규모 AI 솔루션 공급 기회를 확보했다”며 “후지필름과의 장기 협력과 경쟁 입찰에서의 선정은 유방암 검진 분야에서 루닛-볼파라의 기술력을 입증하는 성과이자, 유럽 공공시장에서 입지를 강화하는 계기가 될 것”이라고 말했다.
한편, 프랑스 현지에서 루닛 AI 솔루션을 사용 중인 유니하 회원 병원 릴대학병원 영상의학과 전문의 에릭 카뮈(Eric Kamus)는 “루닛 AI는 오랜 임상 경험에도 불구하고 의료진이 높은 집중력과 정확도를 유지하는 데 도움을 주는 신뢰할 수 있는 도구”라고 평가했다.

Lunit wins government contract with French public health procurement agency UniHA.
Medical artificial intelligence (AI) company Lunit (CEO Seo Beom-seok) announced on the 11th that it had been selected as a supplier for a breast cancer diagnosis AI solution bid by UniHA, a French public hospital purchasing cooperative.
Uniha is France's largest public health purchasing cooperative, responsible for medical device procurement for over 1,500 public hospitals and 130 regional hospital associations. This tender was for the joint purchase of an AI solution for breast cancer screening among its member hospitals.
Through this contract, Lunit will supply its mammography AI solution 'Lunit Insight MMG', 3D breast tomography AI solution 'Lunit Insight DBT', as well as its subsidiary Volpara's mammography image quality management solution 'Volpara Analytics' and real-time image quality feedback solution 'Volpara Live'. Accordingly, Uniha member hospitals will be able to introduce Lunit Group's solutions through Fujifilm, a global medical imaging equipment manufacturer, without a separate bidding process.
“We conducted a tender with rigorous technical criteria in response to the growing demand for mammography AI solutions from our member institutions,” said Bertrand Lepage, head of the Uniha Biomedical Program. “Our goal is to enable public health institutions to adopt the highest level of technology on equal terms with private hospitals.”
Seo Beom-seok, CEO of Lunit, said, “This contract has secured an opportunity to supply large-scale AI solutions to public hospitals across France. The long-term collaboration with Fujifilm and selection through competitive bidding are achievements that demonstrate Lunit-Volpara’s technological prowess in the field of breast cancer screening, and will serve as an opportunity to strengthen our position in the European public market.”
Meanwhile, Eric Kamus, a radiologist at Lille University Hospital, a member hospital of Uniha in France who is using the Lunit AI solution, said, “Lunit AI is a reliable tool that helps medical staff maintain high concentration and accuracy despite their long clinical experience.”

ユニハは1,500以上の公立病院と130以上の地域病院連合体を対象に医療機器購入を担当するフランス最大公共医療購買協同組合だ。今回の入札は、会員病院の乳がん検診に活用するAIソリューションの共同購入のために行われた。

一方、フランスの現地でルーネットAIソリューションを使用しているユニハ会員病院リール大学病院映像医学科専門のエリック・カミュ(Eric Kamus)は「ルネットAIは長い臨床経験にもかかわらず、医療スタッフが高い集中力と精度を維持するのに役立つ信頼できるツール」と評価した。

La société d'intelligence artificielle médicale (IA) Lunit (PDG Seo Beom-seok) a annoncé le 11 qu'elle avait été sélectionnée comme fournisseur pour une solution d'IA de diagnostic du cancer du sein lors d'un appel d'offres lancé par UniHA, une coopérative d'achat d'hôpitaux publics français.
Uniha est la plus grande coopérative d'achat du secteur public de la santé en France. Elle gère l'approvisionnement en dispositifs médicaux pour plus de 1 500 hôpitaux publics et 130 groupements hospitaliers régionaux. Cet appel d'offres portait sur l'acquisition groupée d'une solution d'intelligence artificielle pour le dépistage du cancer du sein par ses hôpitaux membres.
Grâce à ce contrat, Lunit fournira sa solution d'IA pour la mammographie « Lunit Insight MMG », sa solution d'IA pour la tomographie 3D du sein « Lunit Insight DBT », ainsi que les solutions de sa filiale Volpara pour la gestion de la qualité d'image en mammographie « Volpara Analytics » et le retour d'information en temps réel sur la qualité d'image « Volpara Live ». De ce fait, les hôpitaux membres d'Uniha pourront intégrer les solutions du groupe Lunit via Fujifilm, fabricant mondial d'équipements d'imagerie médicale, sans appel d'offres supplémentaire.
« Nous avons lancé un appel d’offres aux critères techniques rigoureux afin de répondre à la demande croissante de solutions d’IA pour la mammographie de la part de nos établissements membres », a déclaré Bertrand Lepage, responsable du programme biomédical de l’Uniha. « Notre objectif est de permettre aux établissements de santé publique d’adopter les technologies les plus performantes, au même titre que les hôpitaux privés. »
Seo Beom-seok, PDG de Lunit, a déclaré : « Ce contrat nous permet de fournir des solutions d’IA à grande échelle aux hôpitaux publics français. La collaboration de longue date avec Fujifilm et la sélection à l’issue d’un appel d’offres concurrentiel témoignent du savoir-faire technologique de Lunit-Volpara dans le domaine du dépistage du cancer du sein et nous permettront de renforcer notre position sur le marché public européen. »
Par ailleurs, Eric Kamus, radiologue au CHU de Lille, membre du réseau Uniha en France et utilisateur de la solution Lunit AI, a déclaré : « Lunit AI est un outil fiable qui aide le personnel médical à maintenir un haut niveau de concentration et de précision malgré sa longue expérience clinique. »
