국방 분야 버티컬 AI 전문기업 펀진(대표 김득화)은 지난 24일 경찰청과 인공지능(AI) 및 첨단기술을 활용한 미래치안 혁신을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 25일 밝혔다.
이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 ▲AI 및 과학기술 기반 정책 자문 ▲관련 세미나 및 정보 교류 ▲주요 AI 행사 홍보 협조 등 첨단 과학치안 기술의 공동 연구 및 실증을 위한 협력 체계를 구축할 예정이다.
경찰청은 특히 현장 대응력 강화를 위해 펀진의 무선 신호 탐지 기술 ‘KWM-Ocelot’과 끊김 없는 통신을 지원하는 특수 단말기 기술을 우선 협력 분야로 검토하고 있다. 해당 기술은 재난 및 범죄 대응 현장에서 실시간 정보 수집과 통신 안정성을 확보해 보다 정밀한 대응을 가능하게 할 것으로 기대된다.
또한 펀진의 ‘KWM(Kill-Web Matching)’ 기술은 지휘관의 의사결정을 지원하는 AI 기반 참모 체계로, 미래형 지휘소 및 치안 대응 체계의 핵심 기술로 주목받고 있다. 양측은 해당 기술의 치안 분야 적용 가능성에 대해 구체적인 협의를 이어갈 방침이다.
펀진은 이번 협약에 따라 오는 10월 ‘경찰의 날’ 행사에서 운영되는 ‘과학치안 AI 전시관’에 참여해, AI 기반 지휘결심지원체계의 활용 사례를 영상으로 선보일 예정이다. 이어 10월 22일부터 개최되는 ‘2025 국제치안산업대전’에도 참가해 국방 기술을 기반으로 한 AI 치안 솔루션을 소개할 계획이다.
펀진 김득화 대표는 “경찰청과의 협력을 통해 국방 AI 기술을 치안 분야로 확장하게 돼 의미가 크다”며, “국민이 체감할 수 있는 실질적 AI 치안 솔루션 개발에 지속적으로 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.

Pungjin Signs Business Agreement with the National Police Agency
Fundin (CEO Kim Deuk-hwa) , a vertical AI company specializing in the defense sector, announced on the 25th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the National Police Agency on the 24th to innovate future security using artificial intelligence (AI) and cutting-edge technologies.

Additionally, Pungjin's "KWM (Kill-Web Matching)" technology, an AI-based staff system that supports commanders' decision-making, is attracting attention as a core technology for future command centers and security response systems. The two sides plan to continue detailed discussions on the potential application of this technology to the security sector.
Under this agreement, Pungjin will participate in the "Science and Security AI Exhibition" held during the "Police Day" event in October, where it will present a video demonstrating the use of its AI-based command and decision support system. Furthermore, the company plans to participate in the "2025 International Security Industry Expo," taking place from October 22nd, to showcase AI-based security solutions based on defense technology.
