포인트모바일은 미국 아마존으로부터 산업용 풀터치 단말기 PM86 약 7,400대, 총 376만 달러(한화 약 54억 원) 규모의 추가 수주를 확보했다고 11일 밝혔다. 이번 수주는 2024년 아마존향 총 매출 대비 약 267% 증가한 수치다.
이번 계약은 지난해 납품된 PM560 단말기의 후속 프로젝트로, 2025년 아마존의 단말기 교체 사업 중 상당 부분을 포인트모바일이 담당하게 된다. 회사는 지난 5년간 인도, 일본, 아랍에미리트(UAE) 등 주요 시장에서 아마존향 단말기를 공급했다.
포인트모바일은 각국 아마존 법인의 요구에 맞춘 맞춤형 기술 지원과 안정적인 납품 역량을 통해 경쟁력을 인정받았다고 설명했다.
현재 미국은 아마존 글로벌 매출의 약 60%를 차지하는 핵심 시장으로, 약 100만 대 이상의 단말기가 운영 중인 것으로 알려졌다. 아마존은 전 세계 20개국에서 약 1,300여 개의 물류 시설을 운영 중이며, 이 중 600여 개가 미국 내에 집중돼 있다.
포인트모바일 관계자는 “이번 수주는 단기적인 매출 확대뿐 아니라 공급 안정성과 파트너 신뢰도를 입증한 결과”라며 “향후 아마존의 단말기 교체 수요에 대응해 경쟁사 제품을 자사 단말기로 점진적으로 대체하고, 산업용 태블릿 TR54 등 신규 모델로 공급 범위를 확대할 계획”이라고 말했다.
또한 “지난 10월 아마존과의 경영진 비즈니스 리뷰에서 향후 협력 방향에 대해 긍정적인 논의가 이뤄졌으며, 매년 정례 회의를 통해 공급망 확대 전략을 지속적으로 추진할 예정”이라고 덧붙였다.

The US is currently a key market for Amazon, accounting for approximately 60% of its global sales, with over 1 million terminals reportedly in operation. Amazon operates approximately 1,300 logistics facilities in 20 countries worldwide, with approximately 600 of these concentrated in the US.
A Point Mobile official said, “This order not only increases short-term sales, but also demonstrates supply stability and partner reliability,” adding, “In response to Amazon’s future demand for replacement devices, we plan to gradually replace competitor products with our own devices and expand our supply scope to new models, such as the industrial tablet TR54.”
He added, "During the management business review with Amazon last October, there were positive discussions regarding future directions for cooperation, and we plan to continue pursuing our supply chain expansion strategy through regular annual meetings."
